Strap holds, doesn't strangle

The North Face Padillac Sandal - Men's

The North Face Padillac Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 26, 2006

The one-pull strap system does two things: it makes the sandals easy to put on and gives a snug fit. The straps don’t pinch or cut (they feel like silk tape). Textured and cushioned footbed. The soles creak sometimes, with a sound like a wood floor, but these are still the easiest and most comfortable sandals I’ve ever owned.

Vasque Breeze Low Day Hiking Shoe - Men's

Vasque Breeze Low Day Hiking Shoe - Men's

The sole and toe are gash-proof. The upper has a lot of double-stitching to protect against rips or burst seams. Good ventilation inside and cushioning under the forefoot. I’m not a runner but love walking around in these well-made shoes.
