Arc'teryx Fission SV Jacket - Men's

Arc'teryx Fission SV Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 9, 2008

I used the Fission SV last Feb. '08 while on an 8 day ski trip (the Butte, 'Basin, Breck)
White-out most of time w daily temps in teens at most. Strong subzero winds above treeline,
and this jacket was perfect w minimal layering. It's too warm if skiing in temps of around 25 F on up.
I'm 6'-1" and around 200 lbs and the Large is perfect and roomy enough for aggressive alpine skiing.
I pair this w my Minuteman pants. Powder never got more than knee deep and was fine. Deeper powder may
require more in the way of a gasket....which this doesn't have.
It's also a perfect "urban winter lifestyle jacket" (mine's black) Doesn't look like a geeky ski jacket in the city.
Works flawlessly while walkin around in Boston winter winds (Gales combined w temps in single digits/teens)
Only gripe: Inside of collar's lining is fraying a bit from whisker stubble rubbing. (Too soft nylon) wish it was
a micro fiber touching my face instead. Also the hood won't stash, but not a deal breaker, because you'll only be using this
thing when hoods are usually needed.
