The third piece adds major pro..as compared to arcteryx.......light enough for touring, you may find yourself three-pitchers deep at the end of the day before you realize they'r still on-

Black Diamond Traverse Ski Poles

Black Diamond Traverse Ski Poles

Rating for this product: 2 April 25, 2009

These poles are WEAK SAUCE!!!! The only reason they get 2 stars is because the half-basket create good conversation during safety meetings. Black Diamond's worst product ever...unless you prefer to duck-tape avy-shovel handles to broken pole parts to bushwack out of the chilcotin.

Best leash made

Black Diamond ClipWire Ski Leash

Black Diamond ClipWire Ski Leash

Rating for this product: 5 January 5, 2006

Not only are these stylee and burly, but they also are the most functional. The coping around the cable keeps them stiff, unlike the floppy and crappy G3 15 pound clasps. They are twice as burly as the Voile leashes. For those who say they come undone. Try one of two things: Alpine Trekkers, or snowboarding. Maybe they come off with smaller boots or side-mount leashes. I love 'em.

Black Diamond Crossbow Ski

Black Diamond Crossbow Ski

Rating for this product: 4 January 5, 2006

Don't Buy 'em too long for the trees. Whoever does not like them on hard pack skis too slow. They'll go as fast as any ski on the market on groomers. I traded them in for Jaks and Worlds, but they rip as fast as you want! No straight lining for the CB's, 45 mph turns the whole way down.

K2 World Piste Telemark Ski

K2 World Piste Telemark Ski

Rating for this product: 5 January 5, 2006

Best ski for combination of mank ice to pow wow. Wood core soaks up big airs like a shock, and the flex is beautiful for steep hop turns, unlike many vibratory and jumpy foam cores. The Cadillac of tele skis. Great in powder if you don't run into pea soup. For a mid-fat, there is no better ski made. I reversed the camber on three pairs of the old models. These have held strong.

Clanky crap

G3 Ski Leash

G3 Ski Leash

Rating for this product: 1 December 6, 2005

Compared to the BD and Voile, the G3 are garbage. The clasp is constantly thrashing around, and is weighty.
