rock this hat

Kavu Chillba Hat

Rating for this product: 5 March 16, 2010

Okay so I have had this hat for a few years and think it's great for a lazy day in the sun. It cinches down to hold steady in the wind and great protection for a beach day. It has also been handy as a rain hat solution. This hat provides great coverage and it's better then the same old same, old bucket hats. More for the extroverts as people will approach you to ask questions.

Great lid used for dual purpose

Smith Variant Brim Helmet

Smith Variant Brim Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 March 2, 2010

I have had this helmet for three seasons and it's pretty awesome. It breaths better then any other helmet I have ever tried out. No real drafts and nice air flow into the goggles. Only negative: first season the plastic ear piece broke off a little bit. I never returned it as it took me forever to find the solid matte army green..still keeps the ear warm so didn't bother. The brim has taken many shots and is still in place although a minor crack from a day banging through the tight east coast trees. Secondly, I use it for my bike commuting during the cold months here in Boston and it's a million times warmer then a bike helmet w/beanie.

Sweet all round East Coast ski

Icelantic Pilgrim Alpine Ski

Icelantic Pilgrim Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 February 2, 2010

I have a pair of 169 Pilgrims mounted with Hammerheads and LOVE them. Had a pair of demo's for a couple days at Jay and they ripped through everything and held a great edge on the ice. Yeah...missed the snow up there but was perfect for understanding the all round awesomeness of the Icelantic Pilgrim!I bought a pair two days after that demo! I'm 6' 190 and I never felt like the length held me back. Denver made was the icing on the cake for me. I got a pair of 08/09 with the mean looking Joan of Arc on wicked sale from EMS.

ROCK SOLID!

Cloudveil Firsturn Softshell Jacket - Men's

Cloudveil Firsturn Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 30, 2009

This jacket has been so solid over the first few weeks. I wear it pedaling to work and it's perfect when layered right underneath. I love 3 season jackets for skiing&cycling and this fits the bill...again though with the right layers underneath (ibex wool rules!). Extremely versatile for varying temps and surprisingly resistant to rain although no replacement for a true rain jacket. CV reeled me back with this super solid offering and awesome price for a jacket with so much to offer! Snap em' up before there gone. Had to search far and wide for the awesome Mecca orange. Oh...the sleeves are cut better then anything I have worn as the ends are angled perfectly for full coverage. The jacket also almost has a baggy like feel but it's not big it gives you room to move which is ideal obviously for skiing and cooler weather commutes and also plenty of room for layering. The length is ideal as well as it doesn't ride up on you and keeps you covered.

Patagonia Fiona Down Parka - Women's

December 11, 2008

moosejaw has the "gravel" color in stock. that is where I had to go to get it for my wife. It was also %20 off...

UPDATE: she loves this jacket as it's lightweight yet very warm for the northeast winter.
