The Medium is like a large???

Arc'teryx Venta SV Softshell Jacket - Men's

Arc'teryx Venta SV Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 November 7, 2008

Okay people. Here's the scoop! I just tried on this jacket. And I was in shock how much room was in it? If you are used to the gamma jacket get ready for a much different cut! I don't know about the large? But I am 6 ft. 190lbs. This jacket was huge in the bicep area? and in the chest. It then tapers down slightly and cuts off at the hips in the from. They normally have a more athletic cut? If you want a large normally? Get a medium. I'm 100% sure about this! Also. The fleece lining isn't thick.. Were talking very minimal. Very thin coat. (if you want a thicker little warmer coat try the Elipson) Great for fall night and sunny winter days in UT. Do not think this is a shell that will keep you warm 27 degree or less. It won't. You will need a layer. slightly disappointed! But even a bad coat from Arc Teryx is still nicer than the best jacket from Columbia)
mark my words. I know my sizing! And I know Arc Teryx.

Killer fit and feel!

Evolv Defy Climbing Shoe

Evolv Defy Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 5 November 5, 2007

These shoes are a true fit. buy them to your actual shoe size. Yes they will stink after about 40 days of climbing. But all shoes do. If people are complaining about the stink then maybe its their feet? Wash your feet people!!! Easy on and off shoe. No like real easy. The nylon lining inside helps the shoe glide off and on! This shoe is perfect for the climber that doesn't have the skills yet for a 5.12 or up.

Black Diamond Quicksilver Carabiner

Black Diamond Quicksilver Carabiner

Rating for this product: 1 November 5, 2007

Why waste the time even selling this Biner? Stop making them. Stop selling them. They catch on the rope at the clipping point. The new keylock system is far advanced and will never grab the rope. Petzl spirit biner have had the keylock system for years!? It took BD way to long to catch up with the times. WARNING! These are a waste of money. All of mine are never coming out of the bag.

BEST APLINE BOOT EVER!!

La Sportiva Trango S EVO GTX Mountaineering Boot - Men's

La Sportiva Trango S EVO GTX Mountaineering Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 5, 2007

This boot like all La Sportivas are for narrow feet. These boots are for alpine/mountaineering junkies! snow shoeing, ice climbing, snowmobiling, and every other winter/fall/spring use period. Light boot. Durable boot. Best boot ever built!. Yes they cost 285 bucks. And you will be thanking yourself later! Let me make this clear if you don't get the point. Michael Jordan said, " Its the shoes!" Well if Michael Jordan wore these boots. He'd have 14 championship rings instead of only 6! These baby are like REDBULL. They give you wings!!

Spend the Extra $ get the Vapor

Arc'teryx Targa Harness

Arc'teryx Targa Harness

Rating for this product: 4 November 5, 2007

Okay okay, I do love this harness. Its actually saved my life more than I can count on two hands and two feet. I've been using it for almost 7 years now. So when it comes to durability its a Clidesdale! But I recently upgraded. The vapor will be worth the money in the long run. And its flat out a much better harness on every comparison period! Do your self a favor if you love climbing. Buy the next one up! Or buy the new petzl!!

The negatives about this harness. The loops need to be much more stiff for gear. Also the waist portion of the harness never forms to your body like they claim. Its foam padding isnt really as comfotable as they protest either.

PRANA for LIFE

prAna Mojo Shorts - Men's

prAna Mojo Shorts - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 29, 2007

thrid pair I have purchased. Have to say they are the complete short! They Dry quickly. Because so, I wore them on the 17 mile narrows river hike at zions national park. turned out better then board shorts because the gusset crotch is great for your harness even wet?

They are an all purpose short in my opinion. just general look at buying them a size big. They tend to run small in sizes.

Black Diamond Skylight Tent 3-Person 3-Season

Black Diamond Skylight Tent 3-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 August 16, 2006

Let me tell you about the best tent EVER!!! I knew going in this tent would be amazing. The first set up is tricky because you set it up from the inside. It’s Weird at first because most tents poles are on the outside. Once I figured it out it is a snap though. It took me three minutes the second time. The water proofing takes time. But so does every other tent when you do waterproof the seams. I used this baby in Zion’s. It was perfect for starry nights, and then on many beaches in San Diego. It was amazing for the fog rolling in the early mornings. No dew got in. I couldn’t believe it. This is expensive. The best over priced product I ever bought. Translation: IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY! And it packs light for backpacking. LOVE IT. It actually makes you want to sleep outside!
