I like hot coffee in the morning before a long day on the oars or in the champagne powder. No sunscreen necessary on the neck. I've got sugar for your haterade.

Oakley Tangent Sunglasses - Polarized

December 17, 2010

A -1.50 Rx is not too strong and should fit ok in this frame. An 8 base curve would fit best in the frame and a good optical shop should be able to make the Rx work. The Rx would optically be best on a 6 base curve which a good shop could probably make work in this frame as well.

Pacific Outdoor Equipment Bomber Sleeping Pad

July 27, 2010

It is definitely insulated and thus self inflating. The manufacturer gives it an R value of 6.6-10, very high.

http://pacoutdoor.com/sleeping-pads/view/bomber-pad

The higher price is due to the burly construction aimed at rough usage, particularly as a pad for rafting that can be used for both sleep and a cushion on the boat.

Montrail Namche Mid Hiking Shoe - Men's

March 26, 2009

The Montrail Namche is not a waterproof boot/shoe. It is designed to be highly breathable to let perspiration out. They have a partial mesh upper which is definitely not waterproof. They are awesome for dry warm climates.

Darn Tough Merino Wool Over-The-Calf Cushion Ski Sock - Men's

Darn Tough Merino Wool Over-The-Calf Cushion Ski Sock - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 27, 2006

These are impressive socks. The cushion version gives just enough padding to give that extra cush feel without sacrificing performance. Merino wool has a broader comfort range, so you don't overheat in moderate temps. Elastic in the right places keep your socks in place so there is no bunching up all day through. 5 stars.
