Super do-it-all backcountry ski

Black Diamond Kilowatt Telemark Ski

Black Diamond Kilowatt Telemark Ski

Rating for this product: 5 February 8, 2008

Mounted mine with Dynafits and love 'em! Super fast and they turn easier than anything I've tried. But, they are still stiff enough for me (180lbs and I ski with the 4 buckle Dynafit Zzero). Fat enough for Wasatch pow but feel very light on the feet, easy to pop out of the snow. Amazingly, they do very well on fast groomers too. Most "backcountry" skis are too soft to charge the fall-line, but these just wanna rip!BD came up with a magical combination of ingredients.

The Green Machines Rip!

Dynafit ZZero 4 C-TF Alpine Touring Boot

Dynafit ZZero 4 C-TF Alpine Touring Boot

Rating for this product: 5 February 8, 2008

Wow! I knew from the instant I clicked in for my first run that I was in store for something special. It's hard to believe a boot can ski this well and be so light and comfortable for touring. As a disclaimer, I had the toe of mine blown out before heat molding because I have flippers for feet. However, I never thought I could have found this level of ski performance in a great touring boot. As far as the color, well, you can't have everything.
