Very good shoes

The North Face Hedgehog XCR Low Hiking Shoe - Men's

The North Face Hedgehog XCR Low Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 19, 2006

Waterproof and comfortable, cool-looking shoes with aggressive tread. I used these for trekking in Italy, everywhere from hiking trails in Tuscany to urban streets in Rome. I agree with another reviewer, however, that if tied too tight, they get uncomfortable on top. To be waterproof, the tongue has to be all one piece and attached to the inside of the shoe, so it tends to bunch up if you tie it too tight. Overall, however, I'm very pleased.

I love these pants...

The North Face Paramount Utility Pant - Men's

The North Face Paramount Utility Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 19, 2006

These things are great. Very breathable and comfortable, and actually water-repellant. They also actually look sort of nice...you can dress them up enough to look at least as nice as if you were wearing jeans, which is handy. Good travel pants, lots of useful pockets. One note: They run small. I got the 34 regulars, and normally a 34 fits me with some room to move...they were TOO TIGHT everywhere. Had to get the 36 regular. Other than that, very pleased.

Great product

The North Face Apex Zip Shirt - Men's

The North Face Apex Zip Shirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 19, 2005

As usual, The North Face has cranked out a great piece of gear. Like others have said, it's a bit pricey for a shirt, but it's very versatile. Nicely water-repellant, yet amazingly breathable, you can wear it over a t-shirt or a sweatshirt for almost any purpose. One thing to note is that the shirt is actually so breathable that it provides basically no insulation at all, it's just an over layer. But, that breathability means you can wear it summer or winter. Overall, it's worth the money.
