Anywhere the snow is deep, dry and untracked...
  • Bio:

I'm originally from the east coast but have relocated to Littleton, CO to be near the action. Needless to say, I'm a complete skiing addict. Its pretty much all I think about. In the off season, I keep busy hiking and mountain biking with my eyes constantly fixed on the western foothills for the first signs of winter.

Great pant and warm as hell!

686 Smarty Original Cargo Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 30, 2009

I've worn this pant a couple times now and I have to say it is one of the best ski pants I've ever used. The removable liner is key. I skied on a 55 degree sunny day with the liners taken out and the vents halfway open and was super comfortable. I've also skied at Loveland (LoveWind) in 5 degree temps with 50 mph gusts and didn't need any other layer underneath. The liners inside kept me nice and toasty. The fit runs a little big so size down when you order. The fit is also a little roomy but not too baggy. I'm in my thirties and don't really want to sport the hoodlum look. The pants have plenty of well thought out pockets with both zipper closures and flaps to keep out the pow. So far I haven't had any leaking through the material even when sitting in the snow for ten minutes which is a real plus. Overall, I can't think of anything to gripe about and I'm a pretty picky dude.

One cool lookin' water bottle

Sigg Lifestyle Water Bottle - Screw Top - 1.0L

Sigg Lifestyle Water Bottle - Screw Top - 1.0L

Rating for this product: 4 May 29, 2008

Granted, this bottle won't fit an ice cube but it does a great job holding some serious BPA-free water. I use it at work and so temperature is less of an issue for me. It does dent if you drop it or happen to hit your co-worker in the noggin with it but the water inside stays tasting exactly as it should...like water. 'Nuff said.

Very nice jacket

The North Face STH Jacket - Men's

The North Face STH Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 7, 2005

I got this jacket right before an early season trip to Killington. The first two days it was between 35 and 50F and a little rainy. I went hiking both days and this jacket was a great outer layer in those conditions keeping me warm and dry and I found it very breathable. The next two days we were skiing in temps around 20F with sustained winds of 20-30mph. The STH proved to be a powerful mid-layer shielding me from the wind and keeping the heat in. Overall, it’s an excellent choice if you can't afford the Free Climb softshell.
