I have a very narrow heel so finding a shoe that fits is hard. I hike a ton but never jog because it always makes my joints hurt. I've been jogging pain free! These shoes are awesome and fit me true to size. Have been on a dirt road and blacktop - no trails yet. Not sure if they'll have the lateral support in the forefoot for clambering around in sagebrush. I'm ordering another pair to have when the first wears out.
