The North Face TKA 200 Full Zip Jacket - Women's

The North Face TKA 200 Full Zip Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 4, 2008

I just bought a second TKA 200 jacket to replace one I bought two years ago. I live in the Bay Area, so we wear our fleeces year-round. And the first jacket isn't worn out at all, but it was pale blue so it was starting to look dingy and pill a little. My new jacket is black, so I anticipate being able to wear it for several years without wanting to replace it. It does pill a little in the "high traffic" areas (for me that's the bottom of the arms because I wear it at work all day and rest my arms on my desk). I chose this over the Pumori fleece because I didn't like the elatic wristbands on the Pumori. This jacket's zipper reverses if you want to zip it into your North Face shell, and the sleeves have little snap tabs so you can attach them to the inside of your shell's sleeves, which makes it easier to take off. But I don't zip the fleece into the shell very often, so I cut those little tabs off the fleece's sleeves, and now to me it's the perfect jacket. Not windproof, but warm and cozy. Great value.

Marmot Ama Dablam Down Jacket - Women's

Marmot Ama Dablam Down Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 March 3, 2008

I used to always be cold, but not wearing this jacket. It's warm and cozy, with a generous hood that's easy to adjust. I love how it packs into the inner pocket. I wish the elastic around the wrists wasn't so tight, and that the sleeves themselves were a tad longer, but this fit does make it easy to layer the jacket under a shell.
