One of my favorite pieces of gear. Very light, warm, I don't miss the zipper at all, just slide them on like pants. And if you get too warm in the night, just unzip the footbox and let your feet hang out. I have slept nice and warm down into the 20's while bivying with frost collecting on the bag, wearing a capilene base, microfleece top and windstopper hat and the hood cinched around my face. I am 6'1", 175 lbs and the long fits perfectly. When stuffed into it's stuff sack, it is just slightly smaller than my DAS Parka. Still fluffs up nice and thick after a couple years of use.

Great Belay Parka

Patagonia DAS Parka - Men's

I absolutely love this parka. I use it for ice climbing and alpine climbing, keep it in the top of my pack and put it on while taking breaks and during belays. Very warm, even when wet. The huge mesh pockets on the inside are great for holding gloves, food, melting my frozen water containers, etc. The hood is huge and fits well over my climbing helmet. During blizzards, I put this on and feel as though I've just walked into a warming hut. Can't say enough good things about this piece of clothing.

I used these in the Ouray Ice Park last spring for a few days, and on a couple couloir routes on Colorado 14ers. They worked great on both vertical waterfall ice and 45 degree alpine ice/snow. The front points penetrated and held great on the vert. ice, with no slips the entire 3 days I was in the park. Haven't tried the monopoint yet. They fit Scarpa Alphas, Koflach Degrees, and La Sportiva Nepal Extremes very well. I really like the step-in/strap combo binding system with the safety strap on the toe bail. They've always remained tight to my boots after hours upon hours of use.
