Great boots!

Crispi XR Telemark Boot

Crispi XR Telemark Boot

Rating for this product: 5 March 27, 2009

Absolutely wonderful boots for hammerheads or G3 Targa w/ world cup springs. They fit my narrow heel, wide forefoot like a glove. They feel so much more comfortable than my snowboard boots, it's amazing. They can drive fat skis very well. With these boots, my hammerheads, and a pair of G3 reverends, I can parallel just as well as the Alpine guys. Precise, powerful, and comfortable. I have not yet taken them on a tour so am unable to comment on that.

Backcountry.com Wool Hooded Jacket - Men's

September 24, 2008

I do not think you'd need an XXL for the arms. I am 6'3" 175 pounds, 15.5 36" dress shirt size (slim fit) and the size M fit me perfectly. To my surprise, the sleeves were long enough. Definitely a nice, slim fit. Very similar to an Arc'Teryx Gamma MX in sizing.

Well designed, unstoppable bibs

Arc'teryx Minuteman Bib - Men's

Arc'teryx Minuteman Bib - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 21, 2007

Those low riding, "bro" pants might be fine for warmer weather in the park, but if you plan on venturing to the cold, steep and deep, a bib is always the way to go. I went up to Whistler with some friends this past season for a week. We were blessed with a foot of fresh every morning and wonderfully cold temperatures throughout, especially above treeline. Everyone wearing standard snow pants were complaining continuously whenever they'd have to sit down to buckle up their bindings as the frigid wind blown snow would deposit on their unprotected lower back. I couldn't have been more comfortable.

Having logged over 30 days in these pants this season, I can say that the quality of materials and construction are truly top notch. These look almost as new as the day I bought them. The built in gaiters are solid and will hold on to any boot all day, every day. The side zip vents can open wide for exceptional ventilation. The upper bib pockets work great for a credit card, ID, cash, chapstick, and other small essentials. The thigh pockets work fine for an energy bar or two. I wouldn't put much weight in them as they are close to the knees, but they work fine for the bulky light stuff.

The suspenders are well designed and never slid off my shoulders accidentally. the back of the bib has an elastic cord in the fabric to keep it close to your body whether you are wearing additional layers or not. I feel that the height of this bib was a perfect compromise between standard pants and full length bibs. I never once felt wind or snow get in the bib during some incredibly deep days and some big falls.

If you're looking for a durable, high quality pant that will last for years and years of heavy use, and you're planning on venturing into the cold, windy, snow filled climates, then these are the bibs for you.
