Great for us ladies that don't need shorty-shorts

Outdoor Research Ferrosi Short - Women's

Outdoor Research Ferrosi Short - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 June 12, 2010

I am not a rock climber, but I wish I was to test out these shorts.

That said, these fit my style. I can't wear those short inseam short-shorts. Hate 'em. I also have a really hard time finding shorts that fit my long torso, smaller waist yet athletic quads. These work. I have to get most of my pants/shorts taken in 2-3" in the waist, but not these.

The sizing is a bit tough. The mediums were way to big in the waist for me. The smalls are a bit more snug in the hips than I would prefer (preferred the loser Medium let fit), but the waist fits, so I went with it. Albeit they are synthetic material, they appears to stretch out a tad after wearing a few times.

I really like the pockets on the back, too; flattering.

Best socks EVER

Darn Tough Merino Wool No-Show Cushion Running Sock - Men's

Darn Tough Merino Wool No-Show Cushion Running Sock - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 12, 2010

I love these socks. I want to replace all my socks with Darn Tough merino wools ones.

I used to be a Smartwool aficionado, but I think their quality has gone down hill.

Darn Tough is all I plan to buy in the near future!

Patagonia Active Mesh Bra - Women's

Patagonia Active Mesh Bra - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 May 1, 2010

I LOVE this sports bra! I threw out all my old ones when I started getting chafing during my marathon training. I used this bra on my first 14miler and had no chafing whatsover. I was doubtful that the compression would be enough, but for me, a 32" A/B, it's perfect. I bought 3 size small.

Disappointed

Suunto t3c Running Pack

Suunto t3c Running Pack

Rating for this product: 2 February 24, 2010

I have been serching for THE heart rate monitor of my dreams. This is not it.

1) I am in the processing of returning the watch because it stopped - time stopped, no response to buttons. I purchased it in Dec 2009.

2) HRM - if I am cycling, it works pretty well, but the HR can be very inaccurate while running. I followed the directions on positioning and wetting the receptors, but sometimes I would run for 30min with a heart rate of ~100.

3) Display - not good options for display, particularly when running at night. My previous HRM, a Polar, allowed you to change the display to have your HR or Lap be the largest number on the watch display. T3C does not. Also...when running at night...which is an unfortunate consequence of my latitude and work schedule....is difficult, at best, with the t3c. Can't read the watch at all. Even in low light (if you go to a Spinning class that takes the lights down periodically), it is difficult to read.

(sigh)

If anyone has a reco on THE HRM, I'd love to know! (I have tried Timex, Polar...and now Suunto)

HUGE!

Outside Baby Two-Layer Windproof Reversible Bunting - Infant Girls'

Outside Baby Two-Layer Windproof Reversible Bunting - Infant Girls'

Rating for this product: 3 December 17, 2008

The sizing on this item runs very large and the range is 3-9mos for XXS. Otherwise, it looks like a great product. Unfortunately, the XXS is to large for our 4mos old baby, so we will likely have to return.

Really like these wind pant

CW-X Element X Pant - Women's

CW-X Element X Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 November 21, 2008

Really like these wind pants. Haven't tested them out in poor conditions yet, but I think they'll be great for an all-purpose wind pant. I appreciate the ankle zips AND the pockets - too many women's athletic clothes do not have pockets, like women don't need to carry a key or a GU or a credit card when they are out and about! I also like the fact that the legs are not tapered. Tapered pants really don't suit me...don't cover your ankles, or if you where with hiking boots, you are out of luck. Non-tapered, like these, are more utilitarian for me.

I see that some people thought these were way too short - for me, the length was perfect...covering the ankles but not dragging the ground. I am 5'7", but I usually have to hem my pants 2"+ (prefer a 29-30" inseam vs 32").

Great shoe

Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 November 21, 2008

Haven't used these as they were intended (wet, trail conditions), but after wearing them out and about, I can tell they'll be great. You can't beat having Gortex, and I like the quick-laces. Prior to these shoes, I had Vasque trail runners which functioned well on the trail but weren't as "strudy" as these feel, if you plan to use them as light hikers.

My only complaint is that the laces are too long and that the heel is a bit loose...we'll see how that works on the trail.

I chose a 1/2 down from what I wear in Asics running shoes.

Good basic jog bra for the small - med cup.

Sugoi Fizz Bra - Women's

Sugoi Fizz Bra - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 November 21, 2008

This is a good, basic jog bra for the price. My only caution to others is that it does not provide as much compression as, say, a Moving Comfort jog bra. I think it is because of the fabric. However, I am on the smaller cup size, so it works for me.

Sizing if off - agreed!

Blurr Jane Pant - Women's

Blurr Jane Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 October 24, 2008

I thought these were really cute, but the sizing on these pants was completely different than other styles. I ordered a size 6 in the Helion? and in this pant, and the Helion? fit perfectly and these were way too small. Annoying inconsistency by this manufacturer.
