Burton CO2 EST Snowboard Binding

Burton CO2 EST Snowboard Binding

Rating for this product: 4 February 20, 2009

These bindings seem sweet so far, I've ridden the Burton C60's the last couple of years and those are great as well. One thing to note on the EST system which I wasn't aware of when I bought them... the maximum stance angle you can go on the front binding is 25 degrees and the maximum rear stance angle is 10 degrees. I normally ride 39 degree forward stance in the front and 30 degrees forward in the back - so this was somewhat of a disappointment for riding the steep and deep terrain ( I like to be facing downhill as much as possible thus the 39 & 30 stance angles ) Not something that's advertised but if your used to the old style 4 bolt or 3 bolt baseplate bindings then you should know that the EST system maxes out at 25 forward in the front and 10 forward in the back.. Hope that helps someone.

Supermodel X- wants to fly

Burton Supermodel X Snowboard

Burton Supermodel X Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 February 20, 2009

Have ridden 3 days so far - this board want to go fast, fast, fast. In the groomers you'll be flying in no time at all- seems like the board wants to accelerate. Good flex in the turns and the edges feel nice when your going through toe to heel transitions. Got in the deep powder and it was dreamy and fun - there's a great latitude of stance widths with the EST system and plenty of room to set the bindings way back for powder riding. Definitely fun so far! by the way I'm 6'3" and weigh about 190 lb. - size 13 feet and no problems with toe or heel drag. was concerned at first because it's a mid-wide not a true wide board. Hope this helps!

great Bindings

Burton C60 Snowboard Binding

Burton C60 Snowboard Binding

very lightweight so a good choice if your into hiking to get some fresh turns. Have held up well, owned and ridden hard for two years straight. As with all bindings - the straps will eventually weaken and break ( plastic ), those with experience know this - so doesn't hurt to have extra replacement straps just in case your out there on a powder day and end up breaking your strap. Hopefully Burton will manufacture more durable plastic in future - keep in mind that I do crank down my straps hard so that I'm tight on the board.

Control from these bindings is excellent. 06' version I think.
