DAKINE Guide Backpack - 3000cu in

September 8, 2008

I have a pair of MSR Lightening Ascent snowshoes that I would like to be able to pack either with or without AT Skis. Is there any way to attach them to the outside of this pack?

Pacific Outdoor Equipment All Out Lite Sleeping Pad - Women's

Pacific Outdoor Equipment All Out Lite Sleeping Pad - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 September 8, 2008

I was so excited to try this out. I tend to roll alot as well as slide all over my sleeping pad (I am also a side sleeper). The side air baffles seemed like a great idea they just weren't "quite" enough to give me that "tucked" in feeling (I was really hoping for). I pretty much slid up and down on the pad the "sticky s-print" just didn't cut it. As for the extra padding in the hip area, my hips ached in the morning (I do sleep on my side). I thought that maybe I was just a bit too pudgy. I think overall that this is a pretty well thought out design but perhaps due to the fact that I am just a freak kind of sleeper, it didn't work for me.

Horny Toad Roar T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Horny Toad Roar T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 September 8, 2008

Love my shirt! Ordered the large originally but decided to return it for a medium. This is not a form fitting shirt so the large looked a bit sloppy. It is a good length as well, doesn't show the tummy. Also, very soft and comfortable. I get many compliments on it when I wear it.

Worked Great For Me

Arc'teryx Big A T-Shirt - Short Sleeve - Women's

Arc'teryx Big A T-Shirt - Short Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 September 8, 2008

Normally grab size large because I don't like short tight shirts and it's usually hit or miss - either it looks too sloppy or it fits perfect. This shirt happened to fit perfect for me. I have bigger boobs so it fit well but it didn't look sloppy around the waist. Perfect length for me. Love Arc'teryx products so I'm glad this shirt worked for me.

Great Product - But Can They Grow??

The North Face Tigger Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Climashield HL

The North Face Tigger Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Climashield HL

Rating for this product: 4 September 8, 2008

I have nothing bad to say about this bag. Like most North Face products it is of good quality. As others have said, it does not pack down as small as I would like although you could easily grab a compression sack for that purpose. I bought this for my 11 year old daughter and she really did love it however, I have decided to return it because I'm pretty sure she will not fit in it when spring camping comes around next year. It says max height is 5 feet but even that would be a tight squeeze. She is around 4'8"ish and couldn't comfortably zip the hood around herself. I see no reason why it would not hold up to many seasons of camping - well built and well thought out.

Mountain Hardwear Lightpath 3 Tent 3-Person 3-Season

Mountain Hardwear Lightpath 3 Tent 3-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 August 15, 2008

I've used my tent four times this year and each time I set it up I think to myself "What a great investment". It is a breeze to set up (it is not freestanding but I knew that when I bought it). It has plenty of room for two humans and a yelow lab! It may be a little tight with three people but it will work. Last time I used it we had some serious fog roll in and I did have some condensation between the rain fly and tent however, it was simple to turn inside out and dry out when I got home. I did purchase a Granite Gear XS stuff sack to carry it with and the footprint and tent fit perfect in it. You can definately pack it down smaller with that than with the sack it came with. I have to carry the poles in their pouch on the side pocket of my pack since they don't break down smaller than 22". For the money that I paid, I am extremely happy and would recommend this tent.

Nice Sweatshirt

prAna Ally Full-Zip Sweatshirt - Women's

prAna Ally Full-Zip Sweatshirt - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 August 13, 2008

As others have said, the Lake color is more of a navy blue, which was what I wanted. Sleeves are a bit long as well as tight. The stitching and design on the outside is very nice, I've had many compliments on it. However on the inside there is no lining. I've had it fray a bit after washing on the cutouts but it makes it look even more unusual!

SHARP!!

Backcountry.com Wool Hooded Jacket - Women's

Backcountry.com Wool Hooded Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 18, 2008

Got mine yesterday, WOW! Very nice. The lining is actually a very fine fleece (so soft). It is a feminine form-fitting coat. I ordered a medium (I'm always between sizes) and it fits but with no layers underneath. I would order a size up if you plan on wearing sweaters, etc. The hood makes it more of a casual jacket but for someone like me who lives in jeans - it's my "dress" coat.

The North Face Ultra Gore-Tex XCR Trail Running Shoe - Women's

The North Face Ultra Gore-Tex XCR Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 5, 2005

These shoes are so comfortable straight out of the box. There seemed to be a lot of posts regarding the sizing running small, evidentially that has changed, I ordered my regular size and they fit great. Ran through some puddles and they didn't leak a bit!
