I've been skiing since the winter of 97-98. I love the park, but moguls, carving, and bombing steeps are all really fun too. My home resort is BMBW Ohio. I have been out to CA, CO, NY, and PA to ski as well. I am also a year-round runner.

Great boot

Dalbello Sports Krypton Rampage Ski Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 28, 2008

i have last years model of these; they pretty much the same. They are very adjustable; if they're not comfy try adjusting the arch support or the canting; they are a huge step up from my old boots; you can also adjust the flex (80-110), forward lean, and the positioning of the midfoot cable. You can disassemble the whole thing to clean it and put it back easily. Lighter weight would have made it 5 stars

Great improvements on a great ski

K2 Extreme Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 December 23, 2008

These are the replacement for the public enemy, with a little more park focus. They softened up the tip and the tail for pop but left the middle stiff. The sidecut is a little less directional, and they reduced the chatter you would sometimes get with the PE.

Dumont/Suspect

Salomon Suspect Ski

Rating for this product: 4 December 23, 2008

These skis are almost exactly the same as the dumont. the only difference is the criss crosses that hold the edges together. The edges on both are really strong, but the dumont has extra strings connecting them, but it doesn't make a huge differnce

Lib Technologies NAS Jib Alpine Ski

December 11, 2008

Low tips? I noticed the tips are very low when i saw a pair in person. Has anyone had experience with these in deep snow or chopping through crud? Also, does the re-curve version of this ski, or the pipe NAS, have any more height to the tips? I'm worried about soft snow days on groomers and crud.

Lib Technologies NAS Park Alpine Ski

December 11, 2008

I noticed that the tips of the jib nas are very low; are these tips any higher? I'm concerned about being able to ski through thick crud and soft-snow days on the groomers

Nice Fit

Red Mutiny Helmet

Rating for this product: 4 December 7, 2008

The brim on this helmet gives it a nice look. The brim looks nice over a pair of googles. The earpads are thicker than REDs i've had in the past. The airflow adjusters are right under the brim and give a good flow of air through the whole helmet. The chinstrap cover makes it pretty comfy. The goggle clip can be removed and flipped around to put it in a higher or lower position, whichever will make your goggles stay on better. It is actually one of the lightest helmets I've held. The only complaint I have is that on every color, there is some kind of design on the back right. I like a cleaner look, but its not too bad. Great helmet

Answer to: "are these good for the k2 silencers?i am worreid because they..."

Marker Griffon Ski Bindings

December 1, 2008

you don't need these for those skis, they cost almost as much as the skis, put some look/dynastar px12's on them instead.

true dat willie; but to complete, as long as you have 76mm underfoot, width isn't an issue

Answer to: "Im thinkin about gettin the disorderly for a new park/all mountain..."

K2 Disorderly Alpine Ski

December 1, 2008

you can ski them all over the mountain but there a symetrical ski( u porbaly already no this) which means that all mountain performance would be slightly worse than a ski with more "normal" dimensions. it would also help if the skis were not center mounted. If you like k2 and want a good all mountain ski id go with the extremes there more geared twords all mountain.

These skis also have a VERY soft flex; you can (using your poles for balance) easily stand on the tips or tails.

Answer to: "How much better are these than the Threat?"

Salomon Suspect Ski

November 28, 2008

the threats are basicly just a yonger version of the suspects so its depends on your hight weight etc.

hi. The guy above me doesnt really no what hes talking about. the threats are not the same or even very similar to these skis. The suspects have edge armor and are just a more solid built skis. They will stand up in the park better and will also hold their own all mountain. The threats are made to with stand less stress and are truly a junior ski, just like salomons web site says. they are taking the place of the flyers which were salomons kid freestyle ski. so if ur six and think ur dope get the threats if you plan to ski park and you are actually decent, go with the suspects. if you just cruise groomers it doesnt really matter... also groomercrusiers r not really skiiers. there just rich people who fly in from some rich city and pretend they can ski for 5 minutes then go inside and get a glass of champane and a 5 course dinner.

Hope this helps... except for the groomer cruiser part..

true dat bro. This isn't exactly an answer, but worthwhile. The guy at my local shop says these are actually the same as the dumont, except the stringers that go between the edges don't form an x pattern (like shoelaces), but instead simply go back and forth. but even so they are more than enough to keep the edge on the ski; I've never seen anyone tear their edge out. but it does help with the torsional rigidity and edge power; bottom line is don't worry if you can't spend an extra hundred dollars for a pro model

Lib Technologies NAS Jib reCURVE Alpine Ski

November 17, 2008

The information listed here and on libtechnas.com is now correct. This is probably their most versatile ski; that is park, groomers, and powder. If you look now, this is the same as the jib nas except for graphics and the recurve, which helps just about everywhere.

Answer to: "do these skis have the same flex as the old ones?"

Salomon Dumont Ski

November 17, 2008

They are designed to have a similar flex but the new core material (wood now instead of the foam core) makes it nearly impossible to replicate. The wood core adds just a little weight but gives you a much longer-lasting pop.

Great goggles, solid lens

Anon Realm Replacement Lens

Rating for this product: 4 November 7, 2008

These lenses fit perfectly. Shipped with adequate protection and no scratches. FYI that that mirror doesn't mean people can't see your eyes; you'll need the solex for that. Mirror just means that it reflects more light and makes the lens shiny, and comfortably reduces the light that reaches your eyes for bright conditions. The only thing Anon could have done better was make them scratch proof and always eye-hiding =)

Great Pack

Kelty Redwing Backpack - 2650-3100 cu in

Rating for this product: 4 November 7, 2008

This pack is huge. It is well constructed. The mesh pockets on the sides are secured on the top with elastic but still easily accessible. The tons of loops allow you to clip on more stuff. It is very comfortable even with 50lbs loaded.

Answer to: "I'm kinda cerious whether these things are all they are cracked-up..."

Lib Technologies NAS Jib Alpine Ski

October 31, 2008

I dont know about the ski but I will recomend a binding I know more about Rossignol Dynastar and Armada. For bindings go with look px 14's or rossignol's 140 check those out or even look into the 150 or 200 binding. For look and dynastars 150 and 200 its Px 15 and Px 18. sorry that i dont know about this ski. peace.

These skis are really nice; they're light and the unheard of edge hold is not a myth. On this model though, they have a low tip, which gives you more contact area and a lighter ski, but its easier to get buried in deep snow. For bindings, look/rossi/dynastar bindings are the same thing, so you would get whichever fits your din range and how much lift you want. I would also check out the marker series with the short toe piece (duke/griffon). Those bindings are way lighter and let the ski have a more natural flex

ps the pics for this ski are incorrect. the left ski is pictured here, the right one is not. look at libtechnas.com to see the correct graphic, which looks even cooler in person.

Great Kit

DAKINE Super Tune Tuning Kit - USA

Rating for this product: 4 October 26, 2008

The iron is a step up from an old household iron, much easier to use. The scotchbrite pad is a little unnecessary if you have a cork, and the included wax is a little weak. But for the iron, file, stone, edge tool, scraper, case, and ptex its a great kit. I now only take my stuff to the shop for base grinds and binding issues

Lib Technologies NAS Park Alpine Ski

in CM: 12/8.6/11.3
The manufacturer's catalog can be found online (just copy/paste): http://www.libtechnas.com/
This has dimensions, explanation of the recurve, and fun propaganda.
They updated this recently (November 2008), so check it out.
These are actually called the Pipe NAS (not park) by the mfgr.

Answer to: "What binding do you recommend to mount on this ski? i was thinking..."

Armada AR6 Alpine Ski

October 14, 2008

My son rides ar6's and has look px12's on them and loves them, I have px14's (same as rossi 140's) on my line bacon's and i love them. We have both gone away from solomon bindings after breaking them, plus the rossi's are cheaper. (I'm Just adding to this.) Yeah the 140's are probaly the safest out there to ride i personaly love salomon boots and skis but hate there bindings and Atomic has the same bindings as Salomon.

(This is a third answer)
My friend has these skis 08 model; he rides with the look px 12 (no lift). They lay down a good edge on-snow and feel solid when landing. Whether you get 12 or 14 depends on your weight and riding style, but the px or rossi scratch are solid mounts. If these are going in the park, you may want to at least look at those new markers; idk that much about them but I've heard good things like better flex; they're also WAAYY lighter than the px12/scratch 120 (by a lot)( adding) the only problem with the new markers is that they only have 2 mounting screws in the toe piece so they could rip out easy. but they light

hey, I ride jesters, and i hit the biggest jumps at Park City all day long last season, and my bindings were in such good shape still that I mounted them on my new skis. They are way light, get em.

Answer to: "do thies ski requiere a center mount or whats the deal "

Lib Technologies NAS Park Alpine Ski

October 8, 2008

They require you to mount them at the midsole (The boot center will be aligned with the narrowest part of the ski, or in this case with magnetraction, aligned with the center of the **largest** bump); which is farther forward on this ski than even most park skis. Mounting ahead or behind the midsole messes up the bumps. So no, but almost.

Answer to: "what kind of bindings go on these?"

Line Invader Alpine Ski

October 2, 2008

Really the options there are numerous. There are dozens of types of alpine bindings you could mount on these, as well as tele, though they won't work as well. I would advise not putting snowboard bindings on them, but that's just my suggestion.

You want something that will not bring a lot of extra weight; just make sure not to spend more than you do on the ski
