I've been skiing since the winter of 97-98. I love the park, but moguls, carving, and bombing steeps are all really fun too. My home resort is BMBW Ohio. I have been out to CA, CO, NY, and PA to ski as well. I am also a year-round runner.

Patagonia R3 Fleece Jacket - Men's

Wondering how this jacket compares in warmth and breatheability to Patagonia's lightweight R4, and is one significantly warmer than the other? I know the R4 line is theoretically warmer, but the lightweight R4 has R1 underarm panels, so I'm not sure.

Lib Technologies NAS Freeride Recurve Ski

October 28, 2009

How far back from "true center" is the recommended mounting point on these? I have last year's Jibs, and they're pretty close to center, less than 2cm back

Good park ski

K2 Disorderly Alpine Ski

K2 Disorderly Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 4 January 12, 2009

I rode this ski with griffon bindings. Its a pretty lightweight setup. spinning was easy. the flex is super soft. if you land backseat on the tails they kinda shove you back into position a little bit. the whole center mount thing takes a little getting used to, it is a little slower and slightly harder to turn. Not a great performer outside the park. Recommended for those doing 75%+in the park or if you have solid all mountain boards already. if your iffy about length go a little longer so you have some surface to land on, plus the center mount makes them feel shorter in the air. also, the mass of longer skis makes it easier to complete the last few degrees of bigger spins (540+). The only thing i would like better is if it had a little more pop, but you can't have that and a buttery flex.

Great improvements on a great ski

K2 Extreme Alpine Ski

K2 Extreme Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 December 29, 2008

These are the replacement for the public enemy, with a little more park focus. They softened up the tip and the tail for pop but left the middle stiff. The sidecut is a little less directional, and they reduced the chatter you would sometimes get with the PE.

Dumont/Suspect

Salomon Suspect Ski

Salomon Suspect Ski

Rating for this product: 4 December 29, 2008

These skis are almost exactly the same as the dumont. the only difference is the criss crosses that hold the edges together. The edges on both are really strong, but the dumont has extra strings connecting them, but it doesn't make a huge differnce

Great boot

Dalbello Sports Krypton Rampage Ski Boot - Men's

Dalbello Sports Krypton Rampage Ski Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 29, 2008

i have last years model of these; they pretty much the same. They are very adjustable; if they're not comfy try adjusting the arch support or the canting; they are a huge step up from my old boots; you can also adjust the flex (80-110), forward lean, and the positioning of the midfoot cable. You can disassemble the whole thing to clean it and put it back easily. Lighter weight would have made it 5 stars

Marker Griffon Ski Binding

December 25, 2008

This is a new version of the Marker Jester ski binding which, last year, was the first ever truly park specific ski binding. While other companies would offer "jib" bindings, they were no different then other bindings except for maybe a rubber vibration absorption plate. The Griffon is different then the Jester in that it has a smaller spring to accommodate lighter skiers who require a smaller DIN. For park and freestyle riding the Griffon is flat (no incline ramp) so skiing backwards is more natural. It also has a wider platform for bigger skis and for smoother landings. It will definitely "hold up" in the park. **what about al the plastic content and breakage concerns above?

Marker Griffon Ski Binding

December 25, 2008

you don't need these for those skis, they cost almost as much as the skis, put some look/dynastar px12's on them instead.true dat willie; but to complete, as long as you have 76mm underfoot, width isn't an issue

Lib Technologies NAS Jib reCURVE Alpine Ski

December 18, 2008

The information listed here and on libtechnas.com is now correct. This is probably their most versatile ski; that is park, groomers, and powder. If you look now, this is the same as the jib nas except for graphics and the recurve, which helps just about everywhere.

K2 Disorderly Alpine Ski

December 16, 2008

you can ski them all over the mountain but there a symetrical ski( u porbaly already no this) which means that all mountain performance would be slightly worse than a ski with more "normal" dimensions. it would also help if the skis were not center mounted. If you like k2 and want a good all mountain ski id go with the extremes there more geared twords all mountain. These skis also have a VERY soft flex; you can (using your poles for balance) easily stand on the tips or tails.

Sold Out

Lib Technologies NAS Jib Alpine Ski

December 11, 2008

I dont know about the ski but I will recomend a binding I know more about Rossignol Dynastar and Armada. For bindings go with look px 14's or rossignol's 140 check those out or even look into the 150 or 200 binding. For look and dynastars 150 and 200 its Px 15 and Px 18. sorry that i dont know about this ski. peace. These skis are really nice; they're light and the unheard of edge hold is not a myth. On this model though, they have a low tip, which gives you more contact area and a lighter ski, but its easier to get buried in deep snow. For bindings, look/rossi/dynastar bindings are the same thing, so you would get whichever fits your din range and how much lift you want. I would also check out the marker series with the short toe piece (duke/griffon). Those bindings are way lighter and let the ski have a more natural flexps the pics for this ski are incorrect. the left ski is pictured here, the right one is not. look at libtechnas.com to see the correct graphic, which looks even cooler in person.

Lib Technologies NAS Jib Alpine Ski

December 11, 2008

Low tips? I noticed the tips are very low when i saw a pair in person. Has anyone had experience with these in deep snow or chopping through crud? Also, does the re-curve version of this ski, or the pipe NAS, have any more height to the tips? I'm worried about soft snow days on groomers and crud.

Nice Fit

Red Mutiny Helmet

Red Mutiny Helmet

Rating for this product: 4 December 9, 2008

The brim on this helmet gives it a nice look. The brim looks nice over a pair of googles. The earpads are thicker than REDs i've had in the past. The airflow adjusters are right under the brim and give a good flow of air through the whole helmet. The chinstrap cover makes it pretty comfy. The goggle clip can be removed and flipped around to put it in a higher or lower position, whichever will make your goggles stay on better. It is actually one of the lightest helmets I've held. The only complaint I have is that on every color, there is some kind of design on the back right. I like a cleaner look, but its not too bad. Great helmet

Great goggles, solid lens

Anon Realm Replacement Lens

Anon Realm Replacement Lens

Rating for this product: 4 November 8, 2008

These lenses fit perfectly. Shipped with adequate protection and no scratches. FYI that that mirror doesn't mean people can't see your eyes; you'll need the solex for that. Mirror just means that it reflects more light and makes the lens shiny, and comfortably reduces the light that reaches your eyes for bright conditions. The only thing Anon could have done better was make them scratch proof and always eye-hiding =)

Kelty Redwing Backpack - 2650-3100 cu in

Rating for this product: 4 November 8, 2008

This pack is huge. It is well constructed. The mesh pockets on the sides are secured on the top with elastic but still easily accessible. The tons of loops allow you to clip on more stuff. It is very comfortable even with 50lbs loaded.

Great Kit

DAKINE Super Tune Tuning Kit - USA

DAKINE Super Tune Tuning Kit - USA

Rating for this product: 4 October 26, 2008

The iron is a step up from an old household iron, much easier to use. The scotchbrite pad is a little unnecessary if you have a cork, and the included wax is a little weak. But for the iron, file, stone, edge tool, scraper, case, and ptex its a great kit. I now only take my stuff to the shop for base grinds and binding issues

Lib Technologies NAS Park Alpine Ski

October 19, 2008

They require you to mount them at the midsole (The boot center will be aligned with the narrowest part of the ski, or in this case with magnetraction, aligned with the center of the **largest** bump); which is farther forward on this ski than even most park skis. Mounting ahead or behind the midsole messes up the bumps. So no, but almost.
