Rock Star Goggles

Oakley Crowbar Goggles - Iridium Lens

Oakley Crowbar Goggles - Iridium Lens

Rating for this product: 5 January 3, 2007

I got these with the Iridium lens, and I also got the H.I. yellow. The Iridium lens is great for sunny days. Good def on the hill. The H.I. yellow is amazing for cloudy days and night skiing. It brings out every detail of the Mtn. Changing lens is fast with practice.

Decent

Smith Phenom Goggles - Polarized

Smith Phenom Goggles - Polarized

Rating for this product: 2 January 3, 2007

I returned and got the Oakley Crowbar. The edge of the goggles had a little distortion and I didn't like that I could see my eye reflection in the lens with sunlight. Fit was good, maybe it was just the polarized lens.

Awesome Jacket

Cloudveil Down Patrol Jacket - Men's

Cloudveil Down Patrol Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 3, 2007

I wore this Down Patrol jacket in Tahoe for 7 days. Three of the days, I had to use a fleece. This jacket is warm / hot. The Windstopper works great, and it is somewhat water-repellent. The pow just brushes off like dust and leaves no water behind. Where I had my skis leaning on my shoulder, it was a little damp, but no water or wind ever got through the jacket. I always had only a T-shirt on. Temp was low 20s & 30s. The days it got to 40, the jacket was too warm.

!!! UPDATE !!!

Head Skis USA Edge 10.8 Superheat 3 Ski Boot - Men's

Head Skis USA Edge 10.8 Superheat 3 Ski Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 January 3, 2007

Tahoe was GREAT except for the holiday KOOKS. The boots are very responsive to the skis edge, all energy is transmitted. The only complaint is THEY LEAK! If you like the pow like I do, wear bags over your feet! The front toe overlap doesn't seal very well, so I had wet feet after about 1/4 way through every day. If you stay on the groomed, this boot rocks. If you hit POW, look elsewhere. So because I like the backcountry fluffy stuff, this boot is a thumbs down!!! My search continues...

Kick A** Poles

Black Diamond Carbon Fiber Ski Poles

Black Diamond Carbon Fiber Ski Poles

Rating for this product: 5 January 3, 2007

Zero problems with my poles. They never collapsed on any of my plants. And a few I thought for sure they would of. I would stop to check, and they were right at what I set them at. I also never had to tighten anything on them. I used them right out of the box. And if anyone has been to Tahoe you know about the long flat straight aways. These poles handled like a one- piece pole. A must buy!
