Nixon Cougar Watch - Women's

Nixon Cougar Watch - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 July 3, 2009

My wife and I own several Nixons and I gave her the Antique Gold/Purple colorway for our anniversary. She loves it! The Antique Gold finish is really unique but subtle. When sized right the watch fits like a bracelet and it slides up and down her wrist a little bit. This is because the band doesn't flex a lot and retains it's circular shape, like a stiff bracelet. It's a winner.

Burton Malolo Snowboard

Burton Malolo Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 February 12, 2009

I ride a '07 166cm and love it. The board is super stiff and has a great shape for ripping deep powder or flying down groomers. I haven't had any of the lamination problems I read about on other sites. I'm 6'2'', 230lbs and the 166 has been great. Make sure you don't buy too long because the long nose on this will really toss you around on any bumps if your board is too long. I discovered that when I set my bindings too far back. The base is really fast, and paired with the stiffness and shape your can carve down groomers as fast as you're willing. I wouldn't buy this board unless I already had another board to butter and jump with, because the short tail and stiffness doesn't allow for much. Bottom line: add a killer powder board to your bag and get a great board for the groomers to boot!

Burton Malolo Snowboard

I'm 6'2'' 230lbs and ride a 166, but my front binding is as far forward as possible. When I set it back at all it feels like I can't control the nose very well, so I'd vote the 162 for you. Riding it this season I feel like I'm just big enough for the 166.

I think it depends on how a 153 rides for you. If it is way to short in powder and you can't keep the nose up at all I would buy the 158 and set up with a wide or forward stance to be able to control the long nose on the Malolo. If the 153 does pretty ok in the powder and you just want something that rips powder with less back leg burn then the 149 should work for ya.

Your bindings should work fine, if not a local shop can sell you some discs to make it fit. To get it in SLC, Backcountry doesn't allow warehouse pickup anymore, but you could overnight it to your hotel or where ever you're staying. Or buy it at REI and have them deliver it to the SLC store.

Pretty cool

I'm not convinced that plastic is bad for anybody, but this is a cool bottle with a nice big mouth. Easy to clean and fill. It's nice how KleanKanteen has a couple different lid options, I think I'll end up buying a flat lid to replace the loop one because the flat is less bulky.

Great down jacket

The North Face Nuptse Down Jacket - Women's

The North Face Nuptse Down Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 8, 2007

The Nuptse jacket is great, compared to any trendy down jacket (Burton, Roxy, etc) this is much warmer. Sizing is pretty standard.
