Great for limited trips to the BC

Ortovox 200cm Probe

Ortovox 200cm Probe

Rating for this product: 4 March 3, 2006

I ski at resorts 90% of the time, and don't make long trips into the BC. Therefore I wanted to make sure that my equipment is as light as possible, while still very functional. This probe is great. It is light, compact, and performs well. I have not had to use it in an emergency, but it works great when training with my BSP.

Great Backcountry Ski Pack!!

DAKINE Ridge Backpack - 1890 cu in

DAKINE Ridge Backpack - 1890 cu in

Rating for this product: 5 February 22, 2006

This pack rocks! I have used the Heli Pack and the Heli Pro for small backcountry excursions for the past two years, and they don't even compare. The tear-drop design keeps the pack weighted great even when packing a ton of gear. The back open panel is perfect for accessing your gear without taking your skis off. Definitely worth every penny!

Great for low and flat light conditions

Smith Anthem Regulator Spherical Series Goggles- Women's

Smith Anthem Regulator Spherical Series Goggles- Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 14, 2005

These goggles give great definition in flat and overcast light. However in bright, sunny days you may want a darker lens (platinum or red mirror). The size and shape is perfect for smaller faces and Giro helmets.
