Marmot Zeus Down Jacket - Men's

Marmot Zeus Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 22, 2008

The jacket does what it supposed to do - provide light mid layer insulation. It fits well under a shell, takes little space, light. It can also be used as extra insulation in the sleeping bag if someone in your group is cold. I don't know about the 'bear gut' busyness, but in my opinion this sort of effect will always occur when you sit. This is not tight fit base layer after all.
One feature that would be nice to have (I hope Marmot folks are reading this) is the tight wrist bands.

Mountain Hardwear Lodown Jacket - Men's

November 11, 2008

How is this jacket in comparison to The North Face Men's Aconcagua Jacket? This one seem to have better down (650 vs 500) but it looks a bit thin. Will it work for -5C weather?

The North Face Mountain Light Parka - Women's

The North Face Mountain Light Parka - Women's

As the title says, this is a great jacket. It’s very light, good for fall rainy weather also. It protects from rain but doesn't suffocate you like some of the rain-prove jackets can.
