The Elios Helmet

Petzl Elios Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 September 5, 2005

I bought the helmet to go wild caving in. It obviously performed its job. No bumps or cuts on my head as opposed to one of my arms that came out quite bloody. The main reason I bought this particular helmet was the ease in which one could mount those strap-mounted head lights to. In fact, I was able to get mount two sets through with the built-in clips. I will now modify it by drilling some holes through the top to mount another set of lights for future caving. The chin straps kept the helmet on very tightly and was adjustable from a wheel in the back. Due to these features, I highly recommend it for caving, repelling, etc.
