Good bag

Lafuma Extreme 650 Pro Sleeping Bag: 40 Degree Synthetic

Lafuma Extreme 650 Pro Sleeping Bag: 40 Degree Synthetic

Rating for this product: 4 June 26, 2011

Well this is my first backpacking sleeping bag so I don't have much to compare to. All I can really say about it is that it is no where near a 40 degree bag. Slept out in my yard a few nights to test it out, lower to upper fifties and got chilly. I consider myself a warm sleeper too. This is also my first mummy bag so I am not sure how to compare this one to any others, but it definitely takes time to get used to the constricted foot-box. I wish I would have gotten the left zip but oh well. I like the internal pocket even though it took me awhile to realize it was even there. And nice glow in the dark zipper pull.

GoLite UltraLite Sleeping Bag: 40 Degree Down

So with it's design, are you actually sleeping directly on your pad? Like skin to pad contact?
