Fantastic headlamp!

Petzl MYO RXP Headlamp

Petzl MYO RXP Headlamp

Rating for this product: 5 May 29, 2010

This is by far the best headlamp I have used. Light quality is superb in both the spot and flood modes.

Was concerned about the small buttons after reading other reviews, but I actually prefer it to the button BD uses. Very positive, and can be locked out for transporting by rotating the head into the fixed bezel.

My favorite feature is the switching. Press the button and the headlamp is on. Press it again and it is off. Press again and it is on. Sounds simple, right? Well, with the BD, press button once, you get spot, turn it off and on again and you get flood. Stupid.

The ability to program light intensities gives one the ability to balance brightness & battery life. Finally, the regulated circuitry feature is excellent, keeping the light bright for most of the battery life. There is a bit of warning when the batteries start to go, but not much.

Pricey, but highly recommended!

Full Tilt FT Ski Boot Tongue

February 27, 2010

The larger tongue will fit on the boot, but the cables won't line up correctly with the recesses on the tongue. IME, using a larger tongue makes the boot feel less reactive, although some people go one size up on the tongue to stiffen up the boot.
