I recently replaced an old pair of Nordica boots with the Impact 9 and I'm very pleased with this boot. I tossed the original insoles and replaced them with a pair of Superfeet! After skiing in the boot for a couple of days, the liners have molded to my feet, and are extremely comfortable! I especially like the extra room this boot provides in the toe box area. The boot is stiff enough to plow through the pow and hop around through the bumps! I also like the light weight, micro adjustable buckles. The boot's flex rating is fixed at 100 (no flex adjustment). I don't have a problem with adjusting the flex. I've owned a few other boots that had flex adjustment and I've never used this feature! Salomon hit a home run with this boot!

I purchased this tent for solo backpacking. This tent was purchased for 3 reasons: it's large enough to fit myself (6' 2", 235 lbs) and my pack, it's well made so I won't get wet, and it's lightweight (tent and ground cloth total weight is less than 4 lbs). I've spent a total of 2 weeks in the tent and haven't got soaked in a downpour yet. Set-up is easy and I've got plenty of room to sit upright inside the tent.

This hoody is comfortable and very well made! I've had the thing for about a month now and I wouldn't change a thing....the sleeves are long enough and it's even set up for an ipod! This hoody rocks!

It rains a lot here in Northwest Washington, and my Epic is the best raincoat I've ever had.

I've used my Nuptse Jacket for walking the dog in -20F weather in Minnesota and for backpacking above 6000 feet. I've never been disappointed with this coat in the cold weather. If you think it's going to rain on your trip, however there are better jackets to take with you. A driving rain will eventually get through the shell and wet the down. If it’s gonna be cold however, I'll take my Nuptse. A compression sack works great to get the coat down to a reasonable size so it will fit in your pack.
