I'm an avid gardener who lives in the Texas Hill Country, and these shoes are perfect for getting around my rather rocky, rough property without slipping or falling. The traction is excellent, even when the shoes and/or ground are wet. I also love the toe protection - I can't tell you how many times, when wearing other shoes, I have painfully stubbed a toe on a rock or stump, but never with these babies! The drainage is also excellent, and there is no itchy feeling when they get wet. And, while it's a hardly a priority for a hard-working shoe like this, I think they are rather attractive, but I may be prejudiced because they make working outside so safe and comfortable for me.
