they will hold a map folded, but it really depends on the size and what material the map is made of. I am thinking of the map I have of Rocky Mountain National Park and that will fit. Sorry I can't be more specific

I would recommend going with the Small. The XS was designed for bookbags and 30L is a touch larger than that.

The Drylite does have vents across the top of the shoulders. The main benefits of this shirt are - quick drying, loose fit (breezy), sun protection and comfort. It is very light weight without loosing durability. It is wrinkle resistant and should look presentable the entire time you are on your trip, unlike cotton. Well while they are not "swimwear" I have to admit to using them in hot tubs and pools myself! I was cautious and made sure to use a towel when walking around but I have had them for over 3years now and while it is not recommended, it didn't seem to hurt them for me. But Chlorine in hotels can be really high and could discolor the material. So, I guess caution is the best advice.

I am not an expect on breeds but I would recommend going with the large, it may give your dog more room and adjustment then the med.

You bet! I have used it for a trad outing, snow climbs and just some hikes. Carried a 60m 10.5 and mid-sized rack just fine. the outside spandura pocket is great for the guide book as well!

It is a really comfortable hoody, the graphic is representation of a rising sun over water, yes it is hard to see it, but that was the artist's idea.

The waistbelt is much larger, it is built to carry moderate loads and wrap your hip bones to support the pack. The webbing is only for the buckles.

Yep the convertible pants have the zippers but the regular pant does not have them.

It is a Cotton Nylon blend, not shiny more like a cotton canvas look but smoother.

It is a cross body strap, like a shoulder bag. The waist strap is on the Zoom but that is for a larger camera body. Hope this helps.

I think you should go with a Large. It may be a little big in the body but will fit your arms better. A med will fit your torso better but the arms may be a touch short.

It has smaller belt loops that may fit a 1" webbing like a load stablizer. But it won't fit the 2" webbing most waistbelts use.
