Smith Vantage Helmet

Here's a couple of shots showing the Vantage and I/O interface as well as style. The helmet rocks and is the best I've ever used; super light, great venting, and great fit.

A couple of upclose shots on the glove in this edit. The gloves do stretch out nicely so if they're a bit snug at first, they;ll be good after awhile.

The month of April always seems to bring some of the best storms of the year. I always look forward to this time f the year as coverage is usually good and the snowpack is pretty consolidated and safe. Here's a little bit of the spring madness.

FlyLow Gear Baker Bib Pant - Men's
November 21, 2011
I'm wearing the XL option in this pic. For size reference, I am 6' 180 lbs, 32/33" waist and 33" inseam with an athletic build. The Baker is a true bib with a nice high back to keep the snow out. The material is nice and stretchy as well.

FlyLow Gear Baker Bib Pant - Men's
November 21, 2011
I'm wearing the XL option in this pic. For size reference, I am 6' 180 lbs, 32/33" waist and 33" inseam with an athletic build. I went with the XL to make sure that I'd have a longer inseam. I maybe could have gone with a L but I didn't want to have the pant bottoms ride up when I'm down in a turn or sitting down.

Scarpa NTN Binding
November 21, 2011
Contact Scarpa, Garmont, or the Crispi US distributor Alpina Sports for that need. Each one of those companies is taking a part in the distribution for the bindings in the states to go along with promoting NTN and the boots. They'll be able to help you out with the additional screws you'll need.

Atomic Bent Chetler Ski
October 9, 2011
It really depends on what type of skiing you want to do. Keep it shorter for a lot of tree skiing or backcountry jibbing, or if you really like to open it up then stay bigger with the 192. The ski is going to ski shorter with the rockered tip and tail, so the 183 will feel a lot shorter and the 192 will probably feel normal to what you're used to.

Moment Bibby Pro Model Ski
September 7, 2011
If you're stuck between those two and aren't looking at other skis, I'd recommend the Bentchets. A more exciting ski. If you're considering other skis I'd look at Icelantic Keepers in a 189, or 178 if you like shorter skis. That ski is great for slack country and anything in between. It's been my go to ski for the past two years.

Line Blend Ski
September 7, 2011
This ski is unchanged for this season. It'll flow in powder as well as any 100 mm ski, but it's not an awesome powder ski if you know what I mean. And it depends on where you ride. Riding in Utah pow versus Washington or Vermont pow is going to be different. The heavier stuff will bog this ski down more. But the erarly rise tip on this ski will help out.

Arc'teryx Theta SV Jacket - Men's
September 7, 2011
The cut and fit of these jackets is the same. If the AR had enough arm length for you in the L then the SV will as well. The difference between the jackets is bells and whistles, as well as what material is used with what finish. The SV is more durable than the AR.

Evolv Royale Climbing Shoe
September 7, 2011
It really depends on how you like your climbing shoe to fit. Since these are leather uppers, the'll give you a good amount of stretch. Probably anywhere from 1-2 sizes of stretch depending on how tight you like to tie them. So I'd say get a 10.0 and assume they'll be a little tight at first, but after the first two times out, they'll probably start to move towards that "perfect fit."

Scarpa TX Comp Telemark Boot
May 27, 2011
The Comp doesn't have the same flex as the '07 T1's. NTN boots definitely havea softer flexing bellow than 75 mm boots, and that's because of the physics of the binding. But this is definitely the best NTN boot for flex, stiffness, control out there. I prefer the comps to the Prophets, which I think are an overrated boot, which is not stiff laterally. The prophets are going to be softer in all areas of stiffness and flex than the T1's.

CW-X Expert Tight - Women's
May 27, 2011
Basing everything on the men's I'lll say that I would judge it on your waist. If you have a wider waist by measurement, I'd go with the large as the waist band may seem too tight in the mediums. If you consider yourself to have a narrower waist, then go with the mediums. As for length, I have the mediums in men's and am 6' and these would be fine for me if I was 6' 2". There's enough length pre stretched and then stretched.

MontBell Ultralight Thermawrap Insulation Parka - Men's
May 27, 2011
This is not helmet compatible, unless you have a smaller helmet with an up-sized parka. Now assuming that you're looking for the same type of puffy (synthetic insulation and highly compactible), I'd have to say go for the Arc'teryx Dually Belay Parka. It's pretty warm plus is tailored to have a helmet compatible hood. This jacket hits the compactible/compressible and synthetic insulation criteria as well.

Black Diamond O1 Telemark Ski Binding
May 27, 2011
If you're refering to the mount pattern, they both conform to the "standard" mount pattern that was developed a few years back, which is now officially gone as a standard. But if you're refering to using existing mount plates, it will not work.

Smith Vantage Helmet
May 10, 2011
Not the greatest fit. The Crowbars aren't as wide or big of a goggle as the I/O or I/Os. MY buddy rocks the Crowbars or Splice with the Vantage and he always has a gaper gap between his goggles and helmet. He fogs up more than me (almost never) with his combination versus me with my vantage and I/O combo.

FlyLow Gear Stash Pant - Men's
February 14, 2011
Flylow pants do run a little bit short compared to the rest of the industry in the inseam versus waistline size/lengths; designed by and made for some of the shorter ski comrades. I am 6' 180 lbs with a 33" waist and a 33" inseam guy and do not like having cuffs up by my boot tops. After talking with some buddies I went with an XL and a good belt to get the fit and length I wanted. I'm not sure how much longer the XXLs would be but you can also combine the pants with the hook in feature of the jacket to make a psuedo one piece which would accommodate a shorter inseam.

Actually you can throw these in Fritchis or dukes if you like. They ski just fine. There is a fine, fine adjustment, or more likely put, a getting acquainted phase, but they can be used for certain AT bindings.
