Comfortable but poor sole

KEEN Targhee ll Mid Hiking Shoe - Women's

KEEN Targhee ll Mid Hiking Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 September 26, 2009

These are comfortable boots. I've had 2 pairs over 2 years. But I'm giving up now that the soles seem to wear out on a yearly basis; in fact in my last pair both soles came unglued catastrophically and simultaneously while going down a skree slope in Wyoming. Luckily I had some duct tape, but that should just not happen. KEEN needs to pony up and get some Vibram soles, or else just use better glue. Anyway if you wear your boots hard, I would not recommend these. If you just need some comfortable boots for occasional hiking, these are fine.

great pants for short/small people

Mountain Hardwear Winter Wander Pant - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Winter Wander Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 July 7, 2008

I had been looking for pants that fit a smaller frame for a while before discovering Mountain Hardwear, and they are great! (I am 5'1" and 108 lbs, and the size 2 fits.) The internal drawcord on this style is especially nice, and they are a rugged, non-wrinkly fabric that looks reasonably good even after a week of camping. I'm ordering another pair!
