Super Small, yet Super Big

DAKINE Drafter Backpack - 650cu in

DAKINE Drafter Backpack - 650cu in

Rating for this product: 5 December 15, 2005

So I decide that I need a small bag to hold my camera, PSP, and all that other junk. I also decide that it would be cool to have a hydration pack for school and day hikes, so I take a look at what DAKINE has to offer. I immediately decide on the Drafter, and I don't regret it. On the front of the pack all you see is mesh, but there are actually two visible pockets on there. Can't forget the two straps either, its perfect for a jacket, heck, maybe even a skateboard. Then there is a huge zipper that goes almost all the way around the bag, unzip that and there are two spandex straps where I keep my gloves. On the opposite side are mesh pockets, I keep my PSP in one, my camera in another, my keys and headphones and everything in the small one, and my iPod in another. Plus, I keep a notebook and my Spanish textbook for school between ALL of that. 650 cubic inches? It feels more like 1000. The hydration feature is awesome, there is neoprene padding running down the outside of the tube, so if I ever go snowboarding I don't have to worry about it freezing. The only thing I can find wrong with the backpack was that the tag said "flannel sunglasses pocket", but it’s nonexistent on my bag.

Great Watch, Great Price

Nixon Manual Watch - Men's

Nixon Manual Watch - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 12, 2005

I got this watch in blue a little under two years ago, and in that time I never gone a day without wearing a Nixon. I even got the new Rotolog because of the high quality of the company. The Manual is water resistant up to 100M, so it's easy to just wear it in the shower or pool without worrying about ruining it. I have banged it up a lot, the types of bangs where you go "oh man, did I just break it?" but it’s spotless. Plus, the battery life is solid, I haven't had to replace it since the time that I got it. The only thing wrong with it are the little scratches on the band, but if I wanted to, I could just polish them out.

Same Watch but in Leather

Nixon Rotolog Watch - Men's

Nixon Rotolog Watch - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 12, 2005

Back in June I had to decide what I wanted for my birthday, I got the Leather Rotolog. I regret not spending the money for the wooden band, but purely for aesthetic value. The watches are exactly the same, both have the coolest way of telling time yet, and both have an LED light to light it up. Sometimes, for a split second, I have to focus on what the time is, because it lines up the hour 2:50 right on the 3. Sadly, neither are waterproof, and the leather band does show some a few little cracks. So definitely, pick up the wooden version and have everyone want to try on your watch.

DAKINE Duel Backpack - 1660 cu in

DAKINE Duel Backpack - 1660 cu in

Rating for this product: 4 December 12, 2005

The quality is top notch. I have thrown it down at school and it still looks brand spankin' new. I love the Dakine logo on the strap, no other brand has it and people can tell its quality. So, if you want a great backpack, get Dakine. I just bought a second pack because of the excellent design and workmanship.
