Light but very uncomfortable

GCI Outdoor Trail-Sling Ultralight

GCI Outdoor Trail-Sling Ultralight

Rating for this product: 2 July 19, 2005

The Trail-sling Ultralight is indeed very light, but: 1. not easy to set up 2. very uncomfortable to sit in and 3. with 1 + 2 combined, it does not beat a soft patch of grass on your hiking trip.

Nice but large storage needed

Pacific Outdoor Equipment Insulmat Mega Mat Sleeping Pad

Pacific Outdoor Equipment Insulmat Mega Mat Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 July 19, 2005

The mega Mat Sleeping mat offers the comfort you would expect of a product in this price line. However, you need your big pick-up truck when you go camping, because even if you are able to get the mat back into its bag, it remains a large item to carry or store. The advantage of self-insulating mats (easy to use and carry along) gets a bit lost.
