I have the Polartec Powershield Gamma MX. I actually love it and it is worn most often on a daily use. Though, for running in the cold, I wanted to try either the Acto MX or the new Gamma MX with the Fortius material. Can anybody compare the two and which one would be better for cold weather running, hiking, and layering. I think they are really similar and at the price points its almost negligible. As I already own a Gamma MX of different material which one would be best?

How is the fit on this compared to the Epsilon SV. I wear an XL in the Epsilon and it fits perfect as I layer over it. I would want to layer underneath the Gamma so I'm wondering if it fits similar or if it is more trimming than the Epsilon. I'm leaning towards the XXL for my uses.

How athletic of a cut is this? I wear between XL and XXL as I have 48" chest with broad shoulders which puts me in XXL but a 36-38 waist which always leaves me with a lot of room. I find I'm an XL in loose cuts like the Firee and Sabre SV. Does this run tight enough to be an XXL for me or would an XL fit? Thanks

Is this more of a fully waterproof Venta? A soft shell with just a soft lining is how I would describe my Venta AR and with its Windstopper and taped seams construction, it's been amazing. Was just wondering of this would be worth as a dedicated winter coat as I prefer layering as I use an Atom LT or Hyluss. How would someone compare these 2 coats, Sabre SV and Venta AR?

How is the Mako heavier than the Fission SL with less insulation than the SL? Also, which one of these has a more durable exterior? Lastly, between the 2, what is the comparison with fitment as far as length and layering is concerned. I was told at a Moosejaw that the Mako is more of a resort jacket with a less protective shell. I also am under the assumption according to Arcteryx site that it should be longer and more meant for layering. Any hands on experience with these 2 jackets?

I've been debating between a few jackets and just wanted some help. I originally wanted the Fission SL but found I would need more warmth. I then leaned towards the SV or Mako. I found the Fission SV to have a much tougher shell. Which has led me to look at the Micon which has the SV like shell with updated features and slighter lighter feel. Wondering what are others thoughts. Using it for Chicago winters, at sporting events standing in negative temperatures, walking outside in hard winds for work, and going on 3-4 ski trips this winter.

Could you use Fission SL possibly as a hard shell over an Atom LT? I'm currently using the Atom LT with the Venta SV and its been great. I'm looking to get something a little more durable and fully waterproof over the Venta for when it gets colder. I've thought of the Stingray or the Mako but the lightweight really has me leaning towards the Fission SL. Any input?

I'm looking for just an incredibly warm shell that would work with an Atom LT if needed. In Chicago and do a lot of walking outside with negative temperatures. I don't want all the bulk as I wear professional clothes underneath but I'm prioritizing warmth over my attire finally. Looking at the Fission SL or the Mako. Any help would be appreciated.
