I got these my first day working at backcountry.com. I'll say that they've stood up very well-- worn daily all through summer/fall, including several excursions into the Snake River and canyons around Moab. The soles have molded nicely to the shape of my feet, and they are like a second skin at this point.

bolts are a bit squirrelly

Thule Xsporter Truck Rack

Thule Xsporter Truck Rack

Rating for this product: 3 November 7, 2008

The bolts that hold the frame mounts to the side of the truck bed are a little squirrelly. The way that the bolts are intended to hold down a pressure plate doesn't seem very productive, given that vibration tends to loosen the bolts, and the pressure plates drop out.

Overall, it's a good system, but the mechanics could be designed a little better, IMHO.

Do you have a bed liner? The only restriction about this rack system is the mounts that "curl under" the lip of your truckbed. I have a bed liner, but I take it out when I am using the rack.
