Under Armour Active Boy Short - Women's

September 26, 2009

This might be a dumb question -- these say they're seamless, but it looks to me like there are seams around the legs and in the crotch area. I'm looking for something I could wear underneath bike shorts (I know, I should be going bare). But I'm worried about the seams. Thoughts?

Great fit, keeps me dry, and I like the v-neck -- it keeps me from feeling like I'm being choked.

OK bra, but has its drawbacks

Salomon Impact Sports Bra - Women's

Salomon Impact Sports Bra - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 June 12, 2008

I've been on a quest for a good sports bra. I used to use a cotton Champion jogbra, and realized I needed something much better. I switched to the CW-X sport support bra, which offered me good support (I'm a 34D), but didn't have good ventilation and felt a little smothering. I then tried the CW-X xtra support bra, which had better ventilation, but felt even more constricting -- great support, though. I then tried this one. It's less constricting than the CW-X bras and has much more ventilation. It's support isn't quite as good, but it's adequate. What's bizarre about this bra is that the elastic has a weird papery feel, which feels kind of poke-y when you first put it on. Once you get it wet, its fine, but the initial feel isn't great.

Solid Bra

CW-X Sport Support Bra - Women's

CW-X Sport Support Bra - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 November 27, 2006

I wouldn't go as far as saying this bar is a miracle or that it's comfortable enough to wear all day, but it's definitely a solid bra that I'm very happy with. I'm a 34C, and it completely eliminates bouncing without making your boobs feel smushed. It looks good enough to wear on its own, and it also works well worn under a shirt -- much less uniboob than any other bra I've ever tried. It's an all around decent bra.

My favorite shirt

Marmot Abilene Performance T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Marmot Abilene Performance T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 27, 2006

I've tried a number of performance t-shirts but none matches this one for comfort and appearance. When I found myself continually preferring to wear this one even when it was dirty, and I had other clean shirts, I bought two more. They fit well, keep me dry, and are super comfortable. I never hike, run, or work out in anything else!

Great shirt

Marmot Libby Performance T-Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Marmot Libby Performance T-Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 27, 2006

Because I like the short sleeve version of this shirt so much (see my review of the Marmot Abilene), I decided to try the long-sleeve. I wasn't disappointed! Just like the short sleeve, this shirt fits well, keeps me dry, looks good, and is super comfortable. I love it!

Love them!

Montrail Masai Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Montrail Masai Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 July 11, 2005

For years I've used Saucony for my trail runs because that's the best I could find at the standard big box stores. But then I had the opportunity to try on the Montrail Masai and I was blown away by the difference! It's like discovering that trees have leaves -- they actually make shoes for feet like mine! I have a very high arch and a narrow heel. The Masai provides support in all the places I need it, is really lightweight, and very comfortable. I've been running in them about 5 days a week for the last few weeks, and I love them! I do think they run somewhat small, though, so you might want to try them on before ordering online -- I bought a half size larger than every other brand of shoe I own.
