I'm a Utah local finishing up school at the University of Utah in geology. Working at backcountry.com part-time is wonderful, as it allows me to get more involved in my hobbies. Some of my favorite things to do in my limited free time include: skiing, hiking, camping, climbing, fly-fishing, and trail running. I'm also a casual trail biker, and I'm starting to get into road biking. Although I love skiing in the winter, nothing makes me happier than to go backpacking for a week in a high mountain range with good friends, good fishing, and good times. My Backcountry.com phone extension is 4357, and I'm in the office on Saturday from 1:30-10:00pm and Sunday from 6:00-2:30 PM.

Sweet Jacket, whose head?

Stoic Luft Hoody Insulated Sweater - Men's

Stoic Luft Hoody Insulated Sweater - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 29, 2011

This is an amazing, lighter-weight luft jacket. I love the way it fits, feels, and it's incredibly warm, too. The only downside in my opinion is that the hood is extremely oversized, which really doesnt matter too much. I can see how this would be helpful when mountaineering, although it makes it semi-impractical around town or camping.

Stoic gone Snow-Bro

Stoic Bombshell Jacket - Men's

Stoic Bombshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 12, 2011

This is an amazing jacket and I've loved the previous models. I'm really bummed about how Stoic has changed their fit, though. I'm 5'11 and 160 lbs, broad in the shoulders. I ordered the M and it was way baggy and made me look like a total snow bro. Now they're out of stock in the small, which isn't fun. The base of the jacket goes past my crotch and the shoulders are 1-2 inches too wide. What's going on with Stoic? This makes the jacket overall less usable in cases of Mountaineering, etc, because the size is just way too baggy! 4/5 in quality, 2/5 in fit, but definitely 5/5 in price!
