Orage Durant Pant - Men's

January 13, 2012

I'm looking at a pair now. Only 1 vent per leg. It's on the outside of the leg towards the back. It runs from the back outside edge of the back pocket down to the knee.

Surface Live Life Ski

December 8, 2010

It would help if you mentioned the 181 or 191 size. I'm riding the 191 mounted 3 back from center and it feels a bit center mounted and big. It also feels like there is a lot of ski behind me. I'm going to ski them a couple more days but I'm considering moving the bindings to -5. Like you I don't have much need to ski switch but I wonder if moving the mount 2 cm would really change the feel enough to justify the cost and extra drill holes.

Smith I/O Interchangeable Optics Spherical Series Goggles

January 26, 2010

I've got the I/0 and the Giro G10 MX set up also. It works nicely. I wish the goggle strap was longer to fit around this helmet. My strap is maxed out on a medium helmet. Maybe some rubber on the inside of the strap would give these a chance of sticking on top of the helmet when they are not on my face. When not in use these goggles just slide of the back of and dangle. Not the coolest look but I really don't care while I'm walking to the lift. It's just kind of a pain if I have to take the goggles off on the mountain. Still this is caused more because I the design/visor on the helmet than the goggles.

Smith I/O Interchangeable Optics Spherical Series Goggles

Smith I/O Interchangeable Optics Spherical Series Goggles

Rating for this product: 4 January 5, 2010

I got these goggles since my cool Native goggles pressed my nose closed when wearing my Giro MX helmet. They solved the problem, look cool, and offer great vision. Just last week in Keystone I switched to the lighter lens for a gray snowy day and I'm sure it helped. I'm a bit concerned about banging them up because the don't have a frame which could double as lens protection and I wish they were polarized but they really are great goggles.

Scott Mission Ski

January 4, 2010

I'm running Dynastar PX 12 Lifter Wide bindings on mine and they are working out fine. If you search you can probably find them pretty cheap. I weigh 195 and have them set @ 9ish so your height and weight would work but if you think you might need extra din (with the extra binding weight that comes along) check out the Look / Rossi / Dynstar 14 series.

Carve Float Rip

Scott Mission Ski

Scott Mission Ski

Rating for this product: 5 December 15, 2009

I've skied these in Summit County CO resorts for the last year. I have the 07-08 model but it appears unchanged except the graphics. These are my every day ski in the 178. I'm an advanced skier weighing 195 and 5'll". I'm really happy with the fact that they can carve so well for a wider ski. They also float well in the powder. Of course a race carver will carve better and a fat pow specific ski will float better but the mission does both well enough you wouldn't need another ski. Still the factory tune felt great. Another plus is that not everyone has a pair. The flex and side cut works in the bumps. They really can do it all. You might also want to check out the Punishers because I think they are just a bit stiffer (however I could be wrong there). I can highly recommend this ski.

Lange Comp Pro Ski Boot - Men's

October 14, 2009

Anyone using these Lang Comp Pros as a freeski boot? I've tried them on and the seem to fit well. I'm just concerned that with little padding in the liner and none of the freeski features like a shock absorbing foot board these might really beat up my feet and shins when skiing off piste. I've tried the Banshe Pro and Super Blaster but those just don't fit right. Any opionins from those who have tried these in crud, bumps, and ungroomed would be really helpful. Thanks.

Bad Sizing

Ground Glissade Jacket - Men's

Ground Glissade Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 September 24, 2009

Tough to review the features when the fit is so bad. Also know that I never used it just tried it on. That being said I seriously wanted to like this jacket. It looks great and has a bunch of usable features plus the price was right. It was supposed to be my new ski/ outdoors shell but the sizing is way off. I’m 5 11 195 lbs and a large all jackets but this large is much more like an XL. I've read this complaint on other Ground jackets so the whole product run must have this problem. I would have ordered in an M but BC is out. Ground appears to be a good company so I hope they standardize their sizes. Also know that it's nice to have pit zips but the zippers are wimpy.
