NOT warm enough

The North Face Triple C Down Jacket - Women's

I really wanted to love this coat. Maybe I expected too much based on the positive reviews I saw here. But the down fill is WAY too thin to keep me warm. Admitted I live in a very cold place, North Dakota, but I thought this coat was made to handle cold down below 0. Boy that is not true! I was cold early this week and it was 15. I can't imagine what it will be like in January. The problem is the amount of fill - in the arms it is micro thin! And there are seams every 2 inches where there in NO fill so you have only a layer of nylon between you and the cold! I was seriously disappointed. The coat is made well otherwise, nice pockets, nice hood. But just not made for real cold. If you just need it for walking your dog at 30 F then it would be a good choice. Otherwise look to a different brand. Boy I wish I'd kept my packing slip!
