Anodized is Best

CAMP USA Anodized Dyneema Tri-Cams

CAMP USA Anodized Dyneema Tri-Cams

Rating for this product: 5 July 17, 2006

I recently took these tricams on a humid climbing trip in Tennesee. I noticed my non-anodized tricams got a little bit of oxidation. This is not a bad thing, but if you like to have your equipment looking newer longer, then go for these anodized ones.

Quality Biner

Black Diamond Neutrino Carabiner

Black Diamond Neutrino Carabiner

Rating for this product: 5 June 7, 2006

Black Diamond makes quality gear. Period. I like to rack my SLCD's on these tiny biners. If you look at the specs, they are just about the lightest biner out there. I personally don't like to use them as a quick draw because they are too small for my hands. Instead I use the Hotwire for this purpose.

Sweet Shades

Smith Director Polarized Sunglasses

Smith Director Polarized Sunglasses

Rating for this product: 5 June 7, 2006

Indeed, these are sweet shades. I used them while climbing in Zion and Red Rocks. Excellent shading for my eyes, and the polarization does wonders for glare. If you are concerned about style, they may or may not cover over your brow. It just depends on the proportions of your face.
