The North Face Mountain Light Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 18, 2008

This jacket does what it's supposed to do and does it well. It's light and it packs small, and with a zip in, it can work for any season. Also, the hood is one of the best fitting on any jacket I have owned. It doesn't cover your face, and can be adjusted so it will turn with your head. *** Responding to the review by Shams, my jacket does not have velcro on the pockets, only zippers.***

Okay boots - Not extremely warm

The North Face Chilkats Winter Boot - Men's

The North Face Chilkats Winter Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 February 15, 2006

The good: Great price for a good quality boot.
The bad: They are not toasty warm unless you are constantly moving. My toes would get really cold if I stopped for more than 15 minutes or so.

I replaced my Chilkats with TNF Baltoro HV400 and don't have any problems. If you're going to be out in the cold for any length of time without being active, it's worth the extra cash to stay warm.

They do exactly what they're designed to do. I use the Yakima Canoe Tie Downs, and my 17ft canoe doesn't budge, even on windy freeways.

Drastic sound reduction.

Like everyone else says, it really cuts down on the noise. It’s super easy to install too. Seems a bit pricey for a piece of plastic, but it's worth it anyway.
