Extremely versatile jacket

Mountain Hardwear Vertical Peak Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Vertical Peak Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 19, 2012

My go-to ski jacket this year, I've worn the thing with just a shirt underneath from 15 degree blizzards to 40 degree rain, and the jacket is perfect every time. Breathable enough so you won't get hot, yet keeps every bit of moisture out the entire day. Light, comfortable, and warm when you need it. You may want to size up on this this, as the fit is much more athletic than most other companies. You can't go wrong with Mountain Hardware with the stuff they know best.

Armada JJ Ski

185, 185, 185! The JJ's rocker makes it much, much shorter than you'd expect.

Armada JJ Ski

February 4, 2012

Definitively 185. They ski a lot shorter than you'd expect. While they aren't the best thing to use in the park, they're really not that difficult to throw around. Dropping to 175 won't help too much as they're just big sticks overall.

Perfection

Armada JJ Ski

Armada JJ Ski

Rating for this product: 5 January 30, 2012

Pow, crud, and everything in between, these sticks can do it all. The best skis I've ever had the pleasure of throwing around. If there was ever such a thing as the "one-ski quiver," you're looking at 'em. Try them just once - you'll agree.

Get the Variant (no brim) instead

Smith Variant Brim Helmet

Smith Variant Brim Helmet

Rating for this product: 2 January 29, 2012

This helmet's great for the job - protects well, keeps goggles from fogging (especially I/O's), and the adjustable ventilation keeps you perfectly comfortable. That being said, the brim is just too easy to break - I now have a helmet with half a brim. Even worse, the flimsy brim is crucial to the overall design; it can't be simply removed after its damaged. Save $20 and get a more durable helmet with the Variant.
