Merrell Chameleon Hex Sport Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 7, 2008

Mine are a different color, but totally the same otherwise. Fantastic shoe for light hiking. The toungless neoprene like liner is really nice. They fit very snugly and hug your foot very evenly so you don't have to crank down the laces to keep the shoe from moving around on your foot. And that means no blisters or sore spots and a very stable walking platform. The sole has great traction and padding to keep your heels from getting tired. Decent ventilation to keep your feet from getting smelly, but not as good as a mesh upper shoe. Because of the foot hugging upper though, you pretty much NEVER get small rocks or other foot irritants inside. The only negative thing about this shoe is the snugness gets a little confining after a long day. You don't really notice it while you've got the shoe on, but they feel really good to take off! Another great shoe from Merrell!

Merrell Chameleon Hex Hiking Shoe - Men's

November 6, 2008

Aside from color and $10, what's the difference between this shoe and the "Merrell Chameleon Hex Sport Hiking Shoe"? I know some of the Tech Specs read differently, but if you compare the two pictures, they appear to be exactly the same. Is maybe the Sport shoe picture wrong? (Some of it's specs don't match the picture, like the Laces).
