Deuter Kid Comfort II Carrier
November 19, 2011
What model is actually being sold here? Is this the 2011? I have one made in 2010n and hate how the zipper on the bag sticks and there is no chin pad, have read zipper is better now and now has chin pad - but I thought the newest one had a button on the kick stand? This one looks different than mine (mine is a lighter blue) but there is no button on the kick stand. (I don't really want the button but would like the zipper to work better and have a chin pad)

Kelty FC 3.0 Kid Carrier - 1150cu in
November 7, 2011
I got a Deuter II to replace an old Kelty (Pathfinder, straps rotted) and I am going back to Kelty, just haven't decided old or new. The Deuter is comfy for the adult but I was pregnant with #4 when I looked at the Deuter, using my then 2 1/2 yo girls as test subjects - now that baby is here and 7months I realize the cockpit of the Deuter swallows him. It's much higher up in front and the adjustablilty of the seat is a joke. Kelty will comfortably fit a much wider range of kids.

Chariot Carriers Inc Cabriolet
October 16, 2011
Hey there - looking at carriers myself right now. I have a burley d'lite and a cabriolet in my living room, trying to decide which to keep. The Cabriolet is wider (slightly) and has more leg room and deceptively more headroom. On paper it has less than the Burley but if you put a kid in the seat depending on weight it sinks so they have more room. A tall going on 6yo will fit, or an average just turned 7yo, but it's snug. They will not fit in the Burley without really poking up through. The advanatge to the Burley though over the Chariot is you could remove the cover and thus have unlimited headroom. I am not planning to use the Cabriolet past 5 so I think it will work well for us. I covet the corsaire but yes the price is hard to swallow. There is a little more room in a Cougar - we tried them in the store - but the price is also much higher. On paper there is more room in the Cheetah but the Cheetah has no trunk - the Cougar has a pouch that sticks out - I love the trunk (integrated) of the Burley and Cabriolet.
