Yes its real you may ski this boot with dynafit bindings. Now skiing like a downhill boot depends on what you are skiing . I would say it skis like a downhill boot with 100 flex .

really hard to comment on this as everyone has his own preference. I would say no though 2 buckles and beingpretty soft it is made more for a long range Backcountry boot. I would look at the T2 Eco instead.

No it would not be this has an Alpine Touring Lugged Sole with Rocker in it only compatible with bindings that have a moveable anti friction plate .. like Marker Duke , Baron or tour Bindings.or any other AT bindig

The comps are about 15 to 20% stiffer than the comp . If your coming from T2's I would go for the Tx Pro.. we also make the TX which would be closer even to the T2 if you like a lighter flex and a 3 Buckle boot . TX Pro is our best seller in NTN.

I bet the T2's are the closest thing to what you been skiing in the T1, I think it wuld be a perfect blend betwee control and the weight you desire for the backcountry. Tricky on the shell size though as it ha chenged from what you have. I am a size 11.0..I take a 27.5-28 with ample room. The next shell up is the 28.5-29 . if you border line 11.5 I would go with he 28 shell.

That is personal preference. I think you can do anything you want of you put your mind to it . Really though these are a bit soft so it may be a bit of a squirly ride on the havocs.

I wear a size 11 shoe and do a 27.5-28 Keep in mind that Scarpa shells start on the half size IE: the 27.5-28 share the same shell and have a different length liner. I think you would be that 27.5-28 get the size 28 if you need a little more room.

I would agree that the camel does not get as light as the Zebra. The camel lens is polarized so polarization tends on giving it a darker tint. Zebra is non-polarized which i prefer better for driving and low light situations.

If you looking for a resort ripper with Dynafit fitting try the Skookum or Mobe .. skookum being a good blend of both worlds. If your going to use a Dynafit binding for the resort as well as Bckcountry I would say this would be good. If you trying to drive a ski that is more than 120 underfoot the maestrell could be a bit sqirlley for you.

Hey there I think you would be OK but would recommend the Big Agnes insulated aircore, more warmth not so much more on weight.

yes this has a half sleeve in it which can accomodate all styles of pad ( mummy or Retangular) and yes it has a pillow sleeve . Enjoy !

I belive the Bent cheeater are pretty big skis, they may over power the boots I would go for the Tx pro you will be way happier in the long run.

We do make a boot called the escape that is lighter but as burly as the SLM3 or the Barun GTx. and these both have the Vibram sole. You may also look at the Bhutan GTX for an even lighter alternative .. also has Vibram on it . Hope that helps a bit

Yes the stove is shorter it is a .08 liter . You can fit all the goodies in here the instructions inside the stove will show you how to properly stack. The Zip does not have an ignitor you need to light with a lighter .

There is a half sleeve and one starp to secure the pad at the bottom. Not annoying at all really easy to use.

These ultralight tents are pretty tight on space . I always say the 2 person is good for one plus gear or two folks that really get along well. So the 2 would be good for him and you if you need. However if the 3 person isnt too much weight more room is better !

The floor does run up the sides of the tent so I guess it is bathtub style. It is coated and seam taped for to be highy waterproof. The floor length when staked out s 90" long, so 7 foot 5" plenty of leg room. I can sit up in it but I am 5'9" the tallest portion of the tent is 38" . Hope this helps

OK I am the Scarpa rep but was the G3 rep for years I have skiied all the Tele Bindings out there. Performance wise these kick butt. Really stiff laterally the power to ski transmission is like no other. The disadvantage is they are heavy for touring , and the free pivot is not as free ( more mechanical ) then say BD O1, G3 Targa Ascent. But having the ability to use one boot for Tele and AT is quite nice and the boots are really comfortable especialyy for boot packing and hiking. My 2

In my experience I have seen folks of your build rip it up on these AT and Tele. Very hard to give a definitive answer as its a personal preference thing. But if you a experience tele skier making the switch I think you will be please with the perfomae for both applications.

This is an Italian made shoe and will hold up fine for a resole go for it.

I would only use flexible strap on crampons this has a stiff midsole but not rigid.

I would second Ryan's response . This model is not going to stretch a whole lot. 41 may be good for you .

Spectron 4 is our polycarbonate lens and Category 4 is the darkest. The alti Arc is a glass lens and the camel is Ballistic material , has anitfog, and is Photocromatic ( lens changes from Category 2 ( light) to Category 4 camel is also polarized.

all of these work great I prefer a Camel or Spectron as the are a bit lighter and essentially shatterproof.

Contest is a big fit much like the Dirt. The Run is more of a medium fit.

These are not interchanable. However they are Photochromatic ( Zebra) so they will change darkness every 22 seconds with change in UV light so no need to change lens or loose addtional lens's

Ryan is right a bit overkill. The camel lens is good for Water sports though maybe try out the Julbo Run , Dirt or Race . The brown polorized lens is very good for brown water ( rivers , lakes )The octopus lens is better for the ocean.. its a gray lens

Chris the Techno is a straight lasted shoe( meaning no asymetry and no downturn) so you will get a different fit . So I would say that with this shoe you may want to size down of of your Techno size maybe a 1/2 size. They will stretch more than the Techno over time and this is an all day performance shoe so you want them snug.

to add to Eli's comments ..The Zip is a stripped down basic version of the Flash.. hence the cost. It does not have a Auto ignitor, heat indicator on cozy and is a smaller .08 liter cup

I think you will really like these. The temple are straight back and wont squeeze your melon. The side sheilds really dont press on your face and they are removable, so you can pop them off when your rolling downtown off the mountain.

Jeremy was mostly correct but the new 2011 Horsehief SL does have what your looking for it has a half sleeve and the lower half has traditional constrution( has insulation on the bottom) We did do this for exactly what you said so you can move your feet around.. but alos still keep that pad in place so you wnt slide off. This is the case for all Big Agne Divide series bags for 2011.

The way the Dirt is constructed it fits a Larger face the Run is a smaller fit.

yes they are available in the wide BXX . I would say close to the Manta fit in the standard BX last more so then the Escape. I feel the escape has a bit higher volume fit.

No, just an awning the both doodrs are waterproof I have never had issues in any weather with this system. You can buy the addtional vestibule that will give you this or look at the King Creek model from Big Agnes it has a full featured fly.

yes you can .. if you can . This pad may be a bit tough to fold the way you want but it certainly will not hurt the pad. If your looking for something more compressable try the Big Agnes insulated Aircore.. super light super pacable.

so for a regular72" and 78" long bag the zip will go 70" down the side of the bag . So on the regular it goes pretty mch all the way to the end .

This would be good , other suggestions for you would be the Julbo Coach and smaller fit would be the Julbo Ozone. The sailor does float so if your in the watera bunch this would be the best bet.

The tent will fit you and there is a small vestibule for Gear . If you want more room inside and still keep weight low i would suggest the Emerald Mountain 2 or Seedhouse SL 2

This bootle can wash up to 60 garments. Yes you can soak , as far as spot washing i am sure that would be fine but i have not tried.

you could go either way , I would recoomend the Dynafit FT12 for resort/ Backountry , the onyx binding works well but they do not have a place to put the shim ( that came with your boots) The shim takes up the space between the boot and the binding and slides into the Dynafit but not G3 . So in short Dynafit FT12

Not sure what you mean about sole width but I assume your talking width of the last ? If so the typhoon is a 104 last as is the Mobe. Mobe is stiffer 125 flex Typhoon 110 flex but comes with a wlak tongue that give mor freedom of movement while hiking. Mobe is Dynafit compatible ..typhoon is not. Typhoon has a DIN approved sole and will work both in AT and Alpine bindings , Mobe has a lugged sole and can only be used with and AT binding.

You should be good to go with this pad. If its cold and damp I would recommend the insulated Aircore pad.

I would only use this on the outside of the Jacket not the Liner as It will comprimise breathability. With that said I would use the TX Direct Spray on on the outside. I hope this helps.

I cn speak for Scarpa. The Shaka is the best bet for her volume issues . The liners are intuition so they can be custom molded to her. We can get some extra volume by heating the liners and wearing a thick sock and craning the buckles down during the molding process. Will be tight when we are doing this but in the end when she has her everyday ski sock on should make it happen.

I would say the would be comparable in stiffness to the Nepal. They both have fully rigid insoles to accept fully rigid crampons. These do have goretex duratherm insulation in them so hey will keep your feet toasty. As far as -25c i cannot comment since all sorts of variables play into this.. I do know that i have been pretty cozy in some cold weather in Colorado . They will fit a touch wider than the Lasportiva

Yes this will work with any pad as long as it is 20" wide and 72"( for regular length ) 78" ( for the long)

I have no experience with a snowboard on these boots but I think they would work great. I do have experience in Dynafit and NTN . And they work great, no slop very comfortable.

Yes would be good they have goretex to keep your feet dry and they are relatively tall . They do not have insulation though.

I think you will be real pleased with the system. I sleep on every part of my body and I have not had an issue at all. Its a sami retangular bag so should be happy rolling all over in this bag.

These would be a good all around boot for you. They will work fine on Vertical ice but wont excel at it. Long apporaches you will love them , they love to climb rock too. If your looking for something that will be more geared towards vertical ice you may want to consider the Jorasses Pro .

This boot : the Terminator X is for use with the new Rottefella NTN system bindings and will not fit in traditional 75mm Bindings. The changes between old ( red) T2X and the new T2 eco : new plastic, New intuition liner, and they are a tad bit stiffer. Hope this helps. I think the best bet is the T2 Eco for what your needs are .

yes the will fit true to the sizing chart. They did get Editors choice in Backountry Magazine. These are based off of our best selling Skookum you can look to reviews on that model for more information. A hard charging dynafit compatible bootI do not fell you will be disappointed

This is just a wash it will not waterproof. This will increae your breathabilty big time. But I would look into buying the TX Direct Spray on to waterproof the outside shell.

It depends on what year your old ones are. if you have old silver tongue or Yellow Tongue T1's yes they wil be different. And if you have a pair with non heat moldable liners you will definately get a different fit.

Hello Scarpa rep here. I can't give you much on the Voodoo as I am a bit biased . But wil tell you if you like the fit of the T2's you willove this boot . A great step up and will suit your backountry needs as well as your on area ripping.

I ski a ski that is 103 underfoot and my opnion wouldn't want to go much larger than that. Powder is good but have skied the ski area as well ..little squirly but once you get used to anythig i think you can make it work.

The Mobe is a good choice has a 104 last so good for your wide forefoot. and the intuition heat moldebale liners will accomodate your skinny heel and pretty much all of your foot . I would make sure you get these custom molded at a good Outdoor shop or Ski shop that specializes in boot fitting ..its worth the $

Fred I feel the F1 would be your best option as far as width. Course I am the rep but have tried them all on as well an I could honestly say this would be the widest of the bunch. The liners are heat moldable so you could get some width by molding these with a large sock then using a thinner sock to ski in. These are made to have a performance fit so a larger size may help but would be a bit loopy for a race boot.

This is an addtional mounting kit. So if you have a pair of NTN bindings already ..you can buy this kit ( instead of another whole set of bindings) to mount another pair of skis. The Binding Chasis ( main part of binding) Has two screws it slides off and you can slide it on to your other pair of boards ..pretty cool and cost saving .

so the PCS classic is the original Jetboil. The flash has an upgraded burner, auto ignitor, comes with a fuel stand and has a heat indicator on the cup coozie to indicate that water is coming to a boil.

Scarpa guy here .. the last on this boot is a 102mm ( medium fit ) this measurement is taken at the widest portion of the shell in the foot area. These do have custome liners as well and can be heated and molded to your foot type
If your looking at other models of Scarpa we do have different lasts for different models.
