Solid, comfortable day pack and more

JanSport Syncline 38 Backpack - 2350 cu in

Used this as a day pack/hand luggage on a recent trip to Africa, including climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, and it worked very well. Pack was comfortable w/ ample padding, yet not too heavy. Lots of pockets for easy access to stuff. My only wish was if it had bungee cord on the back to be able to lash bulkier stuff like shoes to the back of it. Highly recommended.

Just used these on a camping trip and didn't notice the bad taste that others have complained of. This may be because I was drinking spring water from the mountains. Anyway, I'd recommend this.

Versatile, Comfortable Hiking Boot

The North Face Adrenaline Gore-Tex XCR Mid Hiking Shoe - Men's

The North Face Adrenaline Gore-Tex XCR Mid Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 25, 2005

I just bought these for a trip to Africa to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro and go on safari, and I was not disappointed. They're waterproof, which kept my feet dry when it rained. They offered plenty of support on the hike up and down the mountain, and yet they are very light, which helped on the hike and made them versatile to use to go out and about town. Also they look pretty good so I was able to use them to go out to a nice place without getting dirty looks. I highly recommended them.
