Parawing needs to grow

MSR 19' Parawing

MSR 19' Parawing

Rating for this product: 3 July 25, 2005

The MSR Parawing is good, if too pricey, but it is not tall enough. It needs at least another 6-8 inches on the two poles. Kids won't mind, and it's fine to sit under. But adults (I'm 5ft 7in) can only stand under the ends. I'd considered returning it for that reason, but wind-resistant tarps that provide shade from a setting sun are rare. If money's no object, get the Outfitter.

High quality, easy installation, limited usefulness

Yakima LoadWarrior

Yakima LoadWarrior

Rating for this product: 4 June 14, 2005

Just installed a new LoadWarrior, with shovel/ax and spare-tire attachments. Yakima quality is outstanding. Very easy to install. Not practical for items you don't want exposed to weather. Good for firewood, extra spare, odd items you don't need/want inside vehicle. Should be bigger. Backcountry.com was excellent.
