Great skis for charging

K2 ObSETHed Ski

K2 ObSETHed Ski

Rating for this product: 5 March 23, 2012

I demoed these skis a whole day last week and I loved the overall experience on them.
It was a day or two after a big powder day, and I encountered almost all snow conditions that day.
I am 5'5" 105 lbs. I skied on the 169cm.
These skis are super stable, fast, and confidence inspiring. Great for skiing wide open bowls, canyons, and stuff above the treeline. A little hard to turn really fast in tight trees, but I'm not that into skiing in the woods anyway.
My rating
Powder-10/10
Stratugi windblown weirdness- 10/10
Groomers 10/10
Steeps 10/10
Tight technical terrain- 7/10
chopped up crud- 10/10
cliffs,drop offs, cornices- 10/10
moguls-8/10
parks-8/10

Got these for Christmas, they are super cool but they don't fit my smith holt helmet. Maybe it's cause my helmet is pretty old. Sad day.

Great helmet. The lining is so nice I usually don't wear a beanie or 'clava and I still stay warm. Fits perfectly with the Oakley Splice goggle.

DAKINE Goggle Case

DAKINE Goggle Case

Rating for this product: 4 December 28, 2011

I got these for Christmas. They are cool looking, they have nice vents to let your gogs dry out, and match your Dakine backpack. They are a little tight fit for big Oakley spherical goggles + an extra lens but if you put them in the right way they fit PERFECTLY. They were definitely meant for more of a Smith Stance or Dragon DX goggle.

Oakley Splice Goggle

December 28, 2011

If you are really concerned with field of vision go with the EG or the VZ fishbowl. But the splice and air brakes are a "nicer' goggle.

Oakley Splice Goggle

December 28, 2011

they are a large goggle- i am a little bit shorter than you and they cover a lot of face. But they look awesome and do not look that big or dorky or anything at all. if u wear them with no helmet or beanie they might look a little large, but if you ask me, it's way cooler to have a big goggle than to have some cheap, tiny thing. They are rad.

Great goggle

Oakley Splice Goggle

Oakley Splice Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 October 18, 2011

these are the perfect goggles
enough said.
Only one thing wrong with them- the lens is a little hard to put back in but I think i'll get the hang of it, and besides, if that bothers you so much, buy the oakley airbrakes, which is one step up from the splices. I would recommend getting two lenses and the facemask that fits into the goggle and you will have the sweetest goggle setup ever.

These are not ''JIB'' skis though they probably would work okay. Look up the K2 Press. Now that ski is a true blue rail ski.

Atomic Rascal Alpine Ski - Kids'

October 14, 2011

They would be fine if you're not super competitive. These are not race skis, so they won't be very fast. Atomic does make race skis and they do very well i hear.

Oakley Splice Goggle

October 13, 2011

The pink iridium might be a little to dark for low light. I would say Fire Ir. for bright light and H.I. Yellow for low light.
If you aren't night skiing or storm skiing i think your choices would be fine.
I have a Persimmon lens for low light and plan on buying either a black or fire iridium lens for bright light. I would use H.I. yellow for low light but two $75 lenses would be too expensive for me. :-)

Oakley Splice Goggle Replacement Lens

October 13, 2011

Pink iridium might be too dark if you're skiing storms, H.I. Yellow is a good low light lens that still has some "shiny" though its not reflective like the iridiums. If your not picky about how much light your eyes are gettin go with your choices by all means. I have a Persimmon lens for low light and plan on buying a Fire Ir. for bright light. I would use an H.I. lens for low light if i could but two $75 lenses is too expensive.

Good,Simple,Durable,Low price,

Bolle Nova Goggle

Rating for this product: 4 October 12, 2011

These goggles have lasted me for over three years before they started to get scratched up pretty bad last spring when we were skiing a lot. I finally pulled the plug and bought a pair of Oakley splice recently. They were very flexible and the Vermillion gun is actually kinda iridium-ish(cool reflection) on bright days. The V gun lens is not the best for low light but I did use it on 5+ blizzard days. The goggle is very flexible, light, and comfy. They do fog up though. Especially when climbing around retrieving your gear after that crash landing. Overall a good goggle. but I would recommend buying a low light lens too.

Smith I/O Interchangeable Optics Spherical Series Goggles

September 30, 2011

Do the lenses ever break off or get knocked out of the frames? they seem that there's not much holding them on. I seem to be good at face planting when going off cornices and don't want to lose a lens in the snow. i am either going to buy the stance or the io and cant decide. i like the style of the io but i am pretty hard on my gear and want something that will not get scratched and broken when i crash
