  • Stomping Grounds:

Mainly The Wasatch but also, Southern Utah, Colorado, and The Tetons
  • Bio:

I live in one of the greatest places on earth, Cottonwood Heights(for non-utahns thats right in between the Cottonwood canyons) so, I need to enjoy and take advantage of my suroundings. Like anybody who spends enough time in the mountains they know you need a lot of gear. Backcountry.com is a fantastic website to find quality, good prices, and a variety. I love to snowboard, climb, mountain bike, and backpack. I hope you love the mountains as much as I do.

The duke will preform this way, you will want more ajustability if i were you i would go for something like a fritchi freeride pro, or diamir eagle...these will release like a alpine binging and still take AT soles

Smith Holt Helmet

Not a good wake helmet...check out bern helmets...they are the best multi-sport helmets in the buisness.
I recomend the Watts(http://www.bernunlimited.com/Products/Helmets/Watts?helmetType=Snow)
or the Macon (http://www.bernunlimited.com/Products/Helmets/Macon?helmetType=Snow)

Both of these helmets have a winter liner that can be removed for summer use

If you are more of a minimalist go for the axis, (i personally love this pack) but if you carry more go for the alchemist...can't tell you about the varient...They all work for what you are describing....also check out the osprey stratos 36/34 these are going to be more vented than the packs you listed.

Completely submersed underwater? no, for use around snow, ice and rivers it should do fine though... but it won't be COMPLETELY water-proof. If you plan to use it as a river bag get something else...like a Dakine surf- roller bag
