Perception Eclipse 17.0 Airalite Kayak w/ Rudder

Perception Eclipse 17.0 Airalite Kayak w/ Rudder

Rating for this product: 4 August 7, 2006

I took this out for the weekend and my first impression of it was Fast. It cut through the waves with no trouble and seemed fairly stable. Not being a kayak person i felt secure and stable. My only complaint came when i tried to hose the sand out of the hull. The way it is shaped makes it impossible to get a good wash.

Tributary Tomcat Tandem Inflatable Kayak

Tributary Tomcat Tandem Inflatable Kayak

We took this out for some causal floating. We used it on a lake (not its intended purpose) and it did pretty well. It was hard to get it to track, especially if there was any wind at all it would blow you off course. But again not what it was meant for, Still fun. It was constructed very well and i would feel more than comfortable in white water on this boat.

LAME instead of MULE

CamelBak MULE Hydration Pack

CamelBak MULE Hydration Pack

Rating for this product: 2 April 13, 2005

I will keep it short and to the point. First in order to put a full bladder in to the pack you find yourself doing a wicked voodoo dance to get the damn thing in. It is great that it fits so tight but it is a real pain in the seat when you want to fill it. EVERY ride in my case. The other problem is you can’t put anything in the big main compartment because this only amplifies the NO FIT problem. Someone has to product test this stuff so please feel free to tell me how to use my pack because it is going to find a new home in the trash.
