Salomon Rocker 2 Ski

Salomon Rocker 2 Ski

Rating for this product: 5 December 29, 2011

I have skied these for one day, but i think i have a pretty good idea of how this ski goes.

Powder: its really good, but you already know that. even center mounted skiing in the front of the boot, these float really nicely.

Park: It didnt do to bad. I didnt do any rails, but i hit some jumps and they were a pretty solid landing platform. i hit a canon box, and it worked really well, but i wouldnt recamend this because you will rip your edges out eventualy.

Moguls: This is where it really surprised me. after one run of working out the kinks, i could ski the bumps very well, i just couldnt really zipperline for very long.

Groomers: it was fine. a little wobbly at first, but you dont even notice that unless you look down.

Trees: with the super light tips these did really well in the trees. you can turn super fast, and so the trees where really fun.

Basically, i loved these skis, and they are now my everyday ski in telluride CO. I skied the 180, im 5'9" and 130lb. These are much more versatile than they are given credit for. If you can figure out how to ski them (which only took me one run) these can be your everyday ski. these work really well all over, i couldnt find anything the couldnt do just as well as a pair of all mountain skis. you should deffinatly consider buying a pair.

amazing!

GoPro HD Helmet HERO

GoPro HD Helmet HERO

Rating for this product: 5 December 26, 2011

This camera works for anything. the picture is amazingly clear, it will easily atach to almost anything, so you can get some really interesting shots. i personally like the pole cam angle, because with the wide angle lense it totally puts you in the action, instead of just a close up of you. the beeping noises are super helpful when you are turning it on and pressing record, because you dont have to take your helmet off to see if its recording. It works in most light conditions, from extremely bright to kinda dark. i bought this after i realised that the oregan scientific mounts dont sell replacements, and so i would have had to buy a new camera because one little piece of plastic didnt work. im super stoked about this camera, you should deffinatly buy it!

Marker Baron Ski Binding

Marker Baron Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 5 November 13, 2011

these bindings are sweet! you can tour with them but as soon as you are clipped back down, there are no limitations. you can send cliffs, ski steep fast lines, hit back country booters, they work on everything, except the park. you will ruin them if you ski too much park on them. ive seen it happen. they are a little heavy but it's all worth it because the down hill is great. i skied this on a volkl gotama, and this year im putting it on the 180 rocker 2.

Atomic Blog Ski

November 13, 2011

this would work as an every day ski, you might want to go with something a little bigger. the pon2oons are pretty sweet in the deeps and they will ski lines as fast as you want too. the blog will work, but there are better choices.

Salomon Rocker 2 Ski

i just ordered these, but where should i mount them? I am mostly gonna use them for skiing lines, but i will definately be hitting some backcountry booters on these as well. I know i should mount them forward of the line, but how much forward? i havent tried a center mounted ski on big mountain lines, how do they do?

Armada TST Ski

if your not gonna be going switch, the legend skis would be a good one. these are a pretty hard charging ski, but the legend pro rider is slightly more so. also, these are probably lighter so if you are touring everywere this might be the way to go

Bern Baker EPS Visor Helmet w/Knit Liner DO NOT USE

Bern Baker EPS Visor Helmet w/Knit Liner DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 4 August 7, 2011

I havent gotten the chance to use this to much, but this is a pretty dope helmet. its super comfortable and it looks cool. the visor is a nice touch, but if you want a helmet that will keep the sun off your face, this isnt your helmet. my only complaint is that it doesnt have any vents, so it might not be a bad idea to go with the watts helmet instead. this is super durable, i took some pretty gnarly crashes and this held up nicely (this hasnt always been the case for me.) all in all, this is really a great helmet.
