Yakima KingJoe Pro 3 Bike Rack

May 22, 2012

SUPERJOE VS. KINGJOE

The Super Joe series has cradles but the arm that holds the bikes is the same arm that extends out and rests on the top of the trunk.

The result: you can’t spread the arms as far apart so this mount has less of a chance of fitting a car with, say, a spoiler. Also on the Super Joe are tubular pads that protect your car from the support arms. The King Joe is our premium mount replete with cradles and triangular pads that have a softer material and because they are triangular, fit your car better. The King Joe also has 3 independent arms so that you have a wider range of spread. It also allows you to fold down the load arms when empty of bikes.

Not sure I could devour a box of these or anything, but for a quick snack on the go it's healthy and it will get the job done.

DAKINE EQ 74L Bag - 4500cu in

DAKINE EQ 74L Bag - 4500cu in

Rating for this product: 5 April 3, 2012

Taken this bag on a few trips now. It's held up nicely and still looks good. Great durable bag and has tons of room. Just sling it over your shoulder when you need your hands free. The shoulder strap has a bit of padding to cushion the load. Not really for a gym, but great for extended trips or for a gear bag.

KEEN Presidio Shoe - Women's

KEEN Presidio Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 3, 2012

Got these as a gift for my mother. She has a hard time finding comfortable shoes that she can stand/walk in all day. These fit the mold and she loves them. She likes the way they look and more importantly she says they are extremely comfortable. Thanks to these Keen's I was able to buy my mothers love for another year.

Good for select uses

Columbia Drainmaker Shoe - Men's

Columbia Drainmaker Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 April 3, 2012

Extremely light and comfortable. Actually drains the water well and it's cool to watch it in action. Only complaint would be trying to swim with them on. They do fill with water and drain easily, but when you are submerged they fill and become weights on your feet.

Does the job

Yakima KingJoe Pro 3 Bike Rack

Yakima KingJoe Pro 3 Bike Rack

Rating for this product: 4 April 3, 2012

Quickly straps to my 2003 VW GTI (Golf) and carries my bike with ease. PROS: Very sturdy, durable, well built, easily adjusted, easy to use, folds into self when you aren't carrying bikes. CONS: My full-suspension bike (Santa Cruz) won't slide past the first set of straps/mounts due to the suspension/frame design. Rack carries 3 Road bikes O.K., but 3 mountain bikes isn't easily done. I'm sure the construction would carry the weight, it's a matter of room when it comes to carrying them. Has plenty of room for 2 mtn bikes though. Overall, I would buy this again and recommend it.

Yakima KingJoe Pro 3 Bike Rack

April 3, 2012

This rack should fit the 4 door model, but not the 2 door according to Yakima's fit guide. Also, I believe the rack should wrap over the spoiler and fit nicely.

Under Armour M-Series Boxerjock- Men's - 6in

Under Armour M-Series Boxerjock- Men's - 6in

Rating for this product: 4 April 3, 2012

I bought a pair of these and a pair of the Under Armour O Series to compare. After using both for casual and performance they both are extremely comfortable and supportive. I prefer the O Series overall but I can't complain about the M Series really. The O is more of a traditional boxer brief with the trap door.

SmartWool NTS Microweight Bottom - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 April 3, 2012

My dad works outside on our farm and the cold can be pretty unbearable. Not with the help of these microweight bottoms. He loves them and I'm going to have to buy him a few extra pairs for his wardrobe rotation.

Columbia Heat Elite Jacket - Men's

Columbia Heat Elite Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 25, 2011

At first glance I took this for a casual everyday jacket. After wearing it around I realized it's not just your ordinary dad jacket. The Heat Elite is no joke. It's surprisingly warm and extremely comfortable. For how technical it is it's a pretty good looking jacket as well. My own mother was shocked at how it made me look like an upstanding citizen. Bonus, the pockets are fleece lined and make my hands purrrrrr.

Awesome Hammock

Grand Trunk Double Parachute Hammock

Rating for this product: 5 August 5, 2010

Quick.. Easy hang. Comes with hanging materials. 2 nylon ropes and 2 carabiners attached at the ends of the hammock. Couple slip knots later and you are enjoying your nap. Extremely light weight and packs down to about the size of a hiking shoe. Extremely roomy that fits 2 nicely. Also, it's very easy to get in and out of.. I would highly recommend this for the backyard or for camping trips.

Nixon First Class Card Wallet - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 6, 2008

I know I know, it's a big step getting a new wallet. Especially without testing it out first, but this Nixon card wallet is sweet. I was looking for a compact stylish card carrier and wallah! I gave it a 4 star because it doesn't have a bill fold, but who needs it anyway.
